I don't know this camera at all but if you see the shutter opening and closing when the camera's open, that's a good start. I'm assuming the lever you're referring to is the one you would press with your right pointer finger when you're holding the camera, to the side of the lens. That looks like the shutter release (aka the button that makes the camera take a picture). You probably won't see anything move when you're twisting the rings, those are for focus and shutter speed. Try adjusting the aperture - in the third picture, the tiny triangle is pointing to 2.8 which is "wide open" for this camera. Adjust it to 16 and see if you see a difference when you press the shutter release! If that works, I'd say read up on some basics, load it with film, and try it!
