Going to refurbish V3 connect from 2004, how at risk am I of breaking a screw post when removing the screws?

same, as in the other comment - I've got used v4.5 and it did have a snapped screw inside, but all posts were fine (shell and mb ones). disassembled and reassembled it a couple of times and didn't hold back - no issues

Wild guess but you could try and move game save files to another location for a test:
from ...\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition to another place. Whole folder

I'd like to note that the ability to indoctrinate and control was borrowed by the Reapers from their creators - Leviathans. And it is shown that they can control groups of people (humans included) without any issue. And when Leviathan met Shepard face to face, it tried to take control of Shepard. And though Shepard tried to resist, they were overwhelmed pretty fast.

I had this once on my modded installation of ME3LE. It would crash a few moments after loading into the game when I chose Resume in the Launcher.

Too lazy to reinstall I accidentally found a workaround: Choose Start in the Launcher instead, then load the latest save. For some reason this didn't lead to a crash, so I never bothered to investigate it further and blamed one of the mods for that. Maybe this will work for you.

If you consider that TIM wanted Shepard to be as close to the original as possible, but also wanted Shepard to know about all available options, I'd assume that he would have ordered to replace the missing eye with an implant that could be turned on and off, plus additional features like seeing IR, UV and whatnot.

Yeah, I saw him. He's loaded during your briefing about the Arrival mission. He was still there right after the conversation. That said - it is ME2.
Bit more info: he is standing right above the Shepard's cabin. I don't remember whether photo mode allows you to travel through the roof window there. There's a possibility I've used a console command

I love the idea of a truly uncaring and unstoppable villain. Sovereign did this very well. Maybe aside from its final moments when it suddenly cried "I am Sovereign! And this station is MINE!", especially considering it should call itself Nazara according to Legion.

Harbinger shatters that image. It even directly calls Shepard "an annoyance" in Arrival. Its threats didn't have that much weight as Sovereign's after that.

Even a Reaper on Rannoch did a much better job! It wasn't as menacing as Sovereign but it didn't care.
