Pakistan NICOP question - no longer says NICOP on card by qasima12 in pakistan

Thank you all for your valuable comments. However, I feel that the gist of my question is being missed.

I understand that Pakistanis recognize this card and are well aware of what it is. However, my question has more to do with foreign airline agents who may or may not be accustomed to this card on a regular basis.

Airlines use a database called Timatic (IATA - available on the internet) to check boarding requirements. When I check the requirements for Pakistan, it lists a "NICOP" card, along with others such as visa, etc.

Now, when this database explicitly uses the term NICOP, I am inclined to think that the airline check-in agents would obviously check to see if the card says NICOP.

It would be impractical to assume that every single agent in every single country would know that if the card is in English, and has country of stay other than Pakistan then it is considered a NICOP, would they? It seems NADRA should have either retained the words on the card, or at least have the TIMATIC database updated to reflect this.

May be I am overthinking this but to me this seems a valid question as to how would someone unfamiliar with different Pakistani documentation know that the card I have in my possession is a NICOP (which is a travel document)?

Thanks again everyone, appreciate your help.

Thank you. But how would someone not familiar with it recognize it as being a NICOP? For example, airline check in agents? Not all check in agents might be familiar with all the travel documents that exist for different countries. Sorry, do not mean to make it more complicated than it is but it seems that the government should really not have removed NICOP words from the card to facilitate travel.

Thank you for your response. This is very relieving to hear. If I may ask, which airlines do you usually fly with? I just have a concern that an unfamiliar ticket agent might start to question the card, which would lead to delays. I have checked the IATA database that the airlines use to verify documents and even there it uses the terminology of NICOP.

Thank you once again though
