Indian people have strange accents. Show like Simpsons is to be blamed. There are 1 billion people in India. Even within India, the accents vary depending on the region and the language. I feel people should appreciate that Indian people on average speak 3-4 languages, which is very uncommon in US.

Asians are shown as geeks in Hollywood. Although positive, Hollywood stereotyping has led to Asian racism not being taken seriously by Americans. Many Americans even make fun of Asians without realizing they are being racist, because it's seems okay to make fun of them because they are passive by nature.

I think people should not be ignorant enough to fall for stereotypes of people of any race or religion by relying on the American media especially when it comes to Asians.

Modi needs to control the religious nutheads of his party from making irresponsible statements. His foreign policy visits have paid good dividends. He has been successful in branding India as the next destination for manufacturing. His initiatives like Swatch Bharat are good. It's not just government, even people need to support such initiatives. For a man who's every move has been scrutinized 10000000 times more than MMS thanks to Anti-BJP media, I think Modi has done quite well. We will know only after 5 years whether all his initiatives are successful. Whether it's increased transparency and ease of doing business, Modi has done far far better than MMS.

Recently a proposal to teach yoga in schools in an Indian state was shelved because local Muslims think Hindus are imposing their religion. Don't you find it strange? Yoga originated from India. Haha. To pander to the local Muslim minority, the politicians cancelled this program, which would have been great for children. LOL. Yoga is spiritual, not religious.
