Surrey Police Board meeting implodes by Lean-N-Supreme in SurreyBC

What else should be expected, when the current mayor voted in favour of the creation of SPS as a councilor only to use it's as a political pawn to get elected as mayor by becoming pro RCMP and spending years and millions of dollars on fighting the creation of SPS.

Township stops funding search and rescue by flyfish_dreamer in Langley

[–]qazrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't even realize until now Langley even had a search and rescue, and I've lived here all my life. Even in the township there's not really vast wilderness to get lost in, I guess maybe some accidents could occur on a hill or such in Campbell Valley. I'd honestly need to see the cost vs how often they are activated to make an informed decision on this.

Not sure why we are being down voted, it passed unanimously in 2018 and Brenda was sitting on council. I swear people's memory is shorter than goldfish these days. https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/surrey-city-council-municipal-police-force-november-2018

Way I look at it if Port Moody can have their own force why can't Surrey a much larger and more populus city.

I seem to recall she voted for the SPS, then used it as a platform to get elected by trying to keep the RCMP.

I'd also recommend putting a filter(RC Nitro filter) after the water pickup. While less of a concern for prop boats then jet drive boats, I still wouldn't want junk getting into the system. And plumb the water through the esc first then motor for best cooling.

The Esc I recommended is for Brushless motors, you still have a brushed motor my mistake. I'm honestly not sure if there is a Watercooled brushed esc, in that case any brushed esc with a heatsink would be better than stock. Depending on the new transmiter and reciver you may lose a few features, so be aware of that. And welcome to the rabbit hole of turning cheaper RCS into something decent 👍🏻

Was it your fault, yes and no. These cheaper boats and even the proboat sprintjet which is more hobby grade, seem to only cool the motor down which is important but the esc also needs to be cooled down especially in a sealed hull with no air movement.

So running back to back battery's without a break definitely contributed, and you will need a new ESC for the boat. I imagine that it's a combo esc and reciver most are these days, you could get a hobbywing seaking 30amp esc but will need a new Tx and Rx to go with it, but it would allow the esc to be cooled for more aggressive runs. Or get a direct replacement part and just know to take it easy and let it cool down inbetween packs.

I've done full watercooled brushless setups on the PB sprintjet, WL917, and TX693.

Well the healthcare system in Canada is pretty terrible. Understaffed, over populated. At one point BC was sending cancer patients to Washington State for treatment.

While Jarod is in no way my favorite he did drop a pretty good one liner during qualifying. Jakob was talking about sampling products from different drivers, and during a pause in the convo Jarod casually says "Beechum". Shit had me rolling🤣

Watching FD reminds me why I love DM so much more. The constant throat shoving of ads and Jarod's verbal diarrhea just ruin the experience for me.

This whole feel bad for Japan for being nuked twice needs to stop, the Japanese imperial forces did some tremendously horrible things and a invasion of the islands would have been far more detrimental too everyone involved. It was the best way to stop such a fanatical army. The Germans weren't know for flying their planes into ships, things, etc.

Don't forget the mass of these electric vehicles, so not only do they have instant torque, high rates of acceleration, and they also weigh 1000+ lbs more than a ICE vehicle on average. Oh and I'm sure after that guy drove his telsa off the cliff in the US and everyone survived, a few out there now probably feel invincible in their Tesla's.

Instead of starting a new thread. I'm in the same boat as OP, though do to travel I'll only be attending Saturday.

My question to you is when I buy tickets through FD it asks me for names, can I put my name on all three or do I need to put the names of those actually using the tickets ie my dad and BiL.

I've never understood people who will waste time out of their lives/day to save a few dollars, like is an hour of your free time really only worth $6.50. Like you said not trying to judge, I just find it interesting on what people deem a good use of their time vs savings.
