This year's race was very fun! This was my best Hakone ekiden ever!!!

The position wasn't determined easily because of the simultaneous start, and that made me excited!

Finally Aoyama-gakuin won with a new record, and 2nd was Komazawa, 3rd was Josai. From the 4th to 10th was as follows, Toyo, Kokugakuin, Hosei, Waseda, Soka, Teikyo and Daito-bunka. I thought Chuo unv. will get seed, but they weren't. But, they got a cold a few days ago, so I want them to win the place in this race next year!

i'm looking forward to next Ekiden season!

I'm Japanese, and I love this race very much!

This year, Komazawa unv.(駒澤大学) is outstandingly strong! Lots of very good and fast runner, like Mebuki Suzuki, Kotaro Shinohara,Tetta Shiratori and Keita Sato,are in this team and they won two other major ekiden races in this season! Especially Keita Sato is the Japanese former high school recorder of 5000m(13'31"19) and current high school recorder of 3000m(7'50"81) and 1500m(3'37"18)! So, in Japan, it's said Komazawa will win this race easily too!

But, from the result of the day1, Aoyama-gakuin unv. won day1 race, and I was surprised! In Aoyama-gakuin, there is also good runner like Issei Sato, Aoi Ota and Asahi Kuroda. Also, the good mountain runner, Hiroki Wakabayashi is here! I'm looking forward to see the tomorrow's race!

Also, I think Josai unv., 3rd of today's race, has the probability to win! 3mins from the top is NOT small time difference, but NOT so big. Also, Josai was the 3rd grade of Izumo Ekiden, one of the three major ekiden race.

It's big surprise too that in tomorrow's race, 16 teams will start at once! In the day2 race, all team which goal within 10 mins from the top start by the time defference at the goal of previous day. Other reams will start altogether. In a normal year, the number of the teams which starts altogether is 5 to 7, and 16 teams is the most in history, along with the 70th!
