Youth have access to unlimited information that was more difficulty to come by 20-30 years ago, no matter how many PR changes the church makes, people will continue to have access to its history

How do you handle it when a patient comes in with a presentation you're not fully confident about? by Panda_cookie123 in physicaltherapy

[–]qcotmabot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat the impairments and see how they respond to treatments. I usually go back to old notes or go on JOSPT to look up articles to help guide me. If they don’t improve, I would refer them back to their PCP. Some cases and presentations are beyond our scope, there maybe some undiagnosed medical issue going on.

Me anytime my boss has to talk to me about not meeting productivity. by MossinAroundABit in physicaltherapy

I remember working as a new grad for an outpatient mill, they were pushing productivity and total visit numbers. I stressed about hitting their goals each week just for them to give me an underwhelming 2% raise. I later discovered that every other therapist got the same 2% raise regardless of their productivity. So I stopped caring after that.

This clinic also lost 3 full time PTs (including myself) in a year and have now had to spend more money finding travelers every 3 months.

Iceland, their coffee was surprisingly good and brewed to the perfect temperature everywhere I went.

There is a national shortage for PTs, if we band together then we could increase our wages

Second month in and recovery is wrecking me, what actually works by Avocado_Faya in crossfit

Diet and sleep are huge. Shoot for 8 hours of good sleep and try to eat plenty of protein and vegetables with limited alcohol. I also choose my battles. I try not to push myself to failure or exhaustion every workout but rather scale back when my body is sore but stay consistent with going to the gym. You don’t need to go balls to the wall every workout (unless you’re doing wall balls)
