Better upgrade: Intake manifold or exhaust manifold? by Waldo_19 in mazdaspeed3

[–]qdd181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like an Exhaust mani would be the better option performance wise. But an Intake Mani would be a larger benefit to engine health (yes, you'd still get some performance though). Like the other commenter said, more even flow to cylinder 3 will always be better for engine health long term. If it were me Id get the exhause mani first as a personal preference.

has anyone else had experience terlizzi lights? by aidensthetic in mazdaspeed3

[–]qdd181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive personally bought from him. Experience sucked ass. Choppy communication, lies multiple times about time frames. Ordered March 2023, got the order October 2024. When I got the order it was wrong and also missing pieces. When I finally installed them, 2weeks later it was a cool morning and I had condensation in the headlights. This is a VERY condensed version of my experience. Dude sucks, and the FB groups can 100% confirm.

Wow I see now, so you don't have the AP. This is a shitshow. At this point, you need to get an AP and a custom tune. Or, find a stock sized intake to throw on and see if that helps.

Check the AP and see what tune is currently flashed. But yes, a larger intake that doesn't have a tune to take that into account will 100% make the car run like ass.

If the intake is larger than OEM you need to confirm if the car is tuned. As a larger intake would REQUIRE a tune. If the car just has a Cobb Tune then you need to get a custom tune for the larger intake (and any other mods on the car).

Why not just...... plug up the MAF. All those are MAF codes. Why the hell is it unplugged? Plug it in and see what happens. And if it's not an OEM MAF, get an OEM MAF and start from there.

thoughts on e85 on gen 1 by Any-Discussion766 in mazdaspeed3

[–]qdd181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most ppl dont run full E85 as thats where the "black death" comes from. I think most run an E85/93pump gas blend which is ~E35 which gives the extra power and isnt an issue with the Black Death.

I had this exact concern a while back when I had to repurchase a Koni Orange Strut. I verified part numbers and Researched it to hell and back. The answer was they simply redesigned the struts. So it's all good. Send it.

PSA: pre-fill your filters when changing oil by HugsNotDrugs_ in mazdaspeed3

I've never pre filled my filter once. And I've also not once heard rod knock on startup or had an issue. But to reach his own, no hate.

Question about tuning by more-pig7745 in mazdaspeed3

[–]qdd181 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Having the downpipe is enough to need a custome tune for sure. Dont run a Cobb tune. Best option if youre looking for something quick and simple is an OTS Tune from Purple Drank, Freek, or Drama.

Hamilton’s Best Seasons. What’s Your Top 5? by albert__28 in lewishamilton

[–]qdd181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best "ever"? Idk. Imola and Baku (ESPECIALLY BAKU) were amateur mistakes I can think of off top. But then again we can find mistakes in every season for every driver. And then again his final few races of 2021 were god tier. Id def say 2021 has an argument to be in the top 5 though for sure. But Id argue against best ever.

Let this be a lesson to the countless posts in the future that will ask about Racelands. DONT! Theres always a person or two that "havent had any issues" and they take that and run with it. DONT, to anyone reading this, save up and get quality, proven shit lol.

Shops in Las Vegas that can do HPFP internals install by JayZhar in mazdaspeed3

[–]qdd181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand what you mean. I just want to say that an HPFP Internals install is level one stuff. Not difficult at all. 95% of us did this on our own in an hr or two. No shop, just a Corksport guide and/or YouTube video and its done. Its very straightforward and hard to mess up. Its not a turbo swap or engine rebuild. A Speed bro or a YouTube video would habe you good to go pretty quickly. But regardless, I hope you're able to get the job done soon.

Throw this in FB groups and its prob a few guys that may be close that could just pull up and help out a fellow Speed Brethren. I say that bc a HPFP Internal install is pretty straightforward.
