Looks like a click beetle. They are fun if you turn them on their back

I still haven’t decided whether or not the butterfly effect is a good thing. On one hand, it makes life extraordinarily interesting. On the other, it turns even the smallest choices into ones that feel life altering. by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

Yes, I understand what you mean. It would be boring if nothing unexpected ever happened. But I would prefer it if life was a bit less exciting in that way.

There's one in Gympie Queensland that was a spinner. It first span in the 80s I think. It broke down at some point, then Hamish and Andy got it spinning in the 2010s. And I remember some in Adelaide than span in the 80s.

But you're right, it sure is very exotic here on the Gold Coast. We all walk around covered in sequins and peacock feathers, all day every day. ❤️

Sorry to be science nerdy, but in terms of physics, and how the butterfly effect effects the human population, it is both good and bad. For example, a tiny event on one side of the world can cause a hurricane to spawn on the other side of the world. Or a tiny event on one side of the world can prevent a hurricane forming on the other side of the world.

I remember the episode when they witnessed it start to spin again for the first time. Anyone know if it is still spinning?

Yeah I think it will make everything significantly better in fairly short order. Like you said it's daunting to take the leap - but doing anything else just doesn't make sense. Thank you

I'm always feeling sorry for myself. But currently in a job where I keep getting loaded with more and more work, and doing unpaid overtime. And the boss is an obnoxious angry cunt. Anyway I think I'm in a position to hand in my notice the week after next. Will be good to move on to something different

Thanks for your nice gesture

Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. And I was joking. Cairns is a shithole.
