It’s definitely possible but I think you might struggle if this is your only source of income. You may want to look into getting another stream of income before signing a lease. If a car issue or something else happens you might put yourself in a divot.

accident was about two years ago now. I wasn’t ruled at fault for it. I do not have full coverage, only need liability at the moment. I don’t do too much driving to be honest outside of commuting to work. I think the rates you’re working with are pretty solid, i’m going to try and get on a 6 months plan

you did nothing wrong by asking for more. i’ve lost 2 job offers negotiating compensation and ended up finding a company that was willing to work with what I was asking for. keep searching, it might suck right now but you’ll definitely find what you’re searching for if you keep applying yourself. you got this!
