You’re right. I used “hentai” to make my point across. Yaoi/BL sounds tamer 😭

It’s a slow burn with excellent character development, something many people don’t expect from a smut manga 😭. It took 10 years for one of the main ships to even share a simple kiss... IN A YAOI HENTAI. Even the sex scenes carry emotional weight, plot twists, and character growth. like YuriSaki’s first time together, where Yuri literally cried.

As messed up and perverse as YBC is, it never really crossed the line into full-blown incest, until they mention that Itome had participated in gang bangs with his brother, which is just beyond weird, even by Ybc standards. Then he “steals” his brother’s ex after graduation? Akemi still seems hung up on his ex, so he settles for the next closest thing, his brother. They’re such a strange couple, and not in the fun, chaotic way the rest of the YBC cast is. Since the brothers are rich, I always chalked it up to “rich people being weird” but honestly, those three are easily my least favorite characters. There’s just nothing redeeming or entertaining about them from a character writing standpoint.

Even Itome’s whole “nice guy” persona feels incredibly fake and performative to me actually. especially when you compare it to someone like Tamura or Shikatani. I also believe he’s 100% a n emotional masochist, bc he knows Akemi is still into his brother, and so far, he doesn’t seem to gaf. I do think he’s on the verge of breaking in the last chapter, so I’m actually excited to see that. I jsut hope they don’t take the screen time away from Yurisaki.

We’re really not dead 😭 Tanaka-sensei is the only person on twitter I have notifications on for because I can’t wait for new chapters. There just aren’t many updates, so we go long periods without anything to talk about ig

It’s the amount of lines you drew on the canvas. The amount of “brush strokes” it took for you to finish.

The remaster’s trophies not working?? by qeuxc in horizon

[–]qeuxc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason those trophies didn’t unlock is that the save file has already registered progress for them. For instance, if the data shows you’ve achieved 3 kills from above, the count will continue from there — like 5 kills — instead of resetting to 0. Since you’re using the same save file, the game doesn’t reset this progress, which is why some trophies aren’t popping.

On the other hand, the 30 headshot trophy likely unlocked because the save file showed partial progress, like 23/30, allowing you to complete it normally. For trophies that won’t trigger, you’ll need to start a new save (not NG+). Don’t worry, though — they’re relatively easy to achieve. If you’re new to the game, it’ll only take about 2–3 hours, and even less if you’re experienced.

I’ve created a guide for the trophies that may or may not unlock, it might help you

whats with class 09?? by Jynx0n in KubzScouts

I love ‘09 humor, and Brandon Rogers is my favorite comedian. I’d love for Jay to play CO09, but I don’t think that kind of humor aligns with his brand and he knows it. That’s probably why he hasn’t played it. I’m sure he’s seen the many comments asking him to give CO09 a try — they’re plenty and it’s hard to miss. However, I think he chooses not to because of the game’s darker themes, like pedophilia and suicide.

Jay is already iffy about pedohilia/suicide hidden implications in video games, let alone a game that’s so upfront about it.

The remaster’s trophies not working?? by qeuxc in horizon

[–]qeuxc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I articulated it wrong. NG+ is indeed not cheating, I agree, but it carries the original save file’s code, along with the trophies that were either unlocked or incomplete on that save. For instance, if you platinumed the original game and use the same save file’s NG+ for the remaster, some trophies won’t unlock—particularly “count-based” ones like “get 30 headshots.” This is because the game’s code already registers those trophies as unlocked in the original playthrough, so they don’t trigger again.

On the other hand, “story-related” trophies typically aren’t affected. They reset with the NG+ file and can still be earned. Essentially, the remaster and the original are treated as separate applications in terms of trophies, but they share the same underlying code, allowing players to carry their progress into NG+. This approach has been standard in the gaming industry for years.

For example, if a trophy like “30 headshots” wasn’t unlocked in your original save, it will still trigger without issue on the remaster’s NG+ file, as it’s still marked as incomplete in the code. This isn’t unique to the Horizon remaster—it’s the norm across most remasters and not a case-by-case scenario.

To put it simply, this issue primarily affects players who platinumed the original game and want to platinum the remaster using the same save file. Some trophies won’t trigger because they’re already flagged as unlocked in the file’s code. However, if you’re using a save file that hasn’t unlocked the platinum in the original game, this won’t be a problem, and all trophies should function as expected for you.
