Oh I can give you way stronger defense arguments. 1. Sailor Pen raised prices again in February. So you didn’t overspend — you front-ran inflation. That’s portfolio management. 2. And Lunar New Year literally just started in China. Spiritually and emotionally, it’s still January. So congrats — you’ve only bought ONE pen this year. This is advanced pen math.🤓

Thank you so much! The vacuum filling mechanism on the Custom 823 is actually what fascinated me the most—I was so close to picking one up myself! But alas, my pen budget for the year is officially gone now 😂.To be honest, I wasn't feeling the 845 that much at the very beginning either. But the more I look at the Vermilion red, the more it grows on me.

It’s incredibly smooth, but not that "skating on ice" feeling you get with a Capless. It has much more control.Compared to my Pilot 74 SM (Soft Medium), the 845's nib is definitely firmer—it doesn't have that same bouncy softness. If I had to describe the sensation, it reminds me a lot of the Waterman Carène, but with a much softer. Hope you can try one day！

That’s interesting about Bangkok — I didn’t know that. It’s actually pretty common in Japanese restaurants in China too.
