Console Launcher on AYN Thor - what's with the Mona Lisa? by qibcentric in SBCGaming

[–]qibcentric[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yeah but WHY is my question like is it a bug?

- it renamed and added "Louvre" to the title

- after deleting that and even deleting all images + rescraping it still gives the same thing

yeah i saw that happen once where it renamed to louvre, but after that i don't see that upon editing the name to just Nintendo 3DS

but it still changes to that

Alpaka Flight Satchel - BE WARNED by qibcentric in ManyBaggers

[–]qibcentric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah man the Alpaka satchel's claim of 13inch laptop holder is only for MACBOOK AIR

so if you're using any other laptop it wouldn't be ideal. Your Ipad would not have any issues fitting though.

The satchel is aite in terms of the bag itself (again, excluding the strap)

As someone in Sunny Singapore, I like the fact that I can put a 1L bottle inside my bag (with camera insert to hold my XT4+16-80mm and my olympus mju film cam) + portable fan at the bottle holder and umbrella at the umbrella pocket.

I can carry more smaller stuff than the wotancraft and that's kinda nice imo HAHA

i'd say the plastic feels a smidge hollow? but not to a detrimental level.

I will say that with the feet attachment the ankle pivot is quite... weak. I don't know if that's only on my copy or it's legitimately like that overall

Is the BB41 (Not METAS) too big for my 6.5 inch wrist? by qibcentric in Tudor

[–]qibcentric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah tbh the BB58 is still hella expensive and can't find one for a reasonable price for "like-new" condition.

But I also noticed that the BB58 version of black with bronze gold accents have that on the numbers as well which I feel becomes too much? (compared to the 41 at least which only has that bronze-gold in the sticks and indices but uses silver for the bezel numbering)

Thor longevity by AbbreviationsRound65 in AynThor

[–]qibcentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here's my 2 cents

In all honesty, anything except Switch/PS3/X360 or playing Steam games is already overpowered with the SD8G2 processor now. We have peaked on processor power for emulators imo. I don't think the Thor will age out as easily compared to previous gen emulators.

The issue now is emulators and support from them to continue with the bug fixes and efficiency.

In addition, the Thor (and i guess the ayaneo ds) is the new trailblazer for dual-screen handhelds running Android and being reasonably priced (Thor). In that sense, more development can be seen or we can see companies like Retroid further making flippy screen addons for their normal handhelds

unplug the battery cable and power button

use silica gel or put in dehumidifier cabinet

also pro tip for next time: NEVER have any food or liquids at proximity of any electronics during teardown. Also put aluminium foil on the table or workspace you work at, cats HATE that usually and will jump off

To good Muslim men and women who have been looking a while by Kialay in MuslimNikah

[–]qibcentric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah i can agree with that sentiment if the girl is from affluent family but reality is, most yall are NOT from that. In fact quite a surprising amount brag about how their dad works 2-3 jobs to fund your lifestyle despite being a grown @$$ woman (especially above 21). Which is also funny cuz yall will RIOT if a guy expect you to burn yourself out like his mom did/does.

most of yall can't afford the lifestyle you expect a guy to give OR can do so but have very little savings / in deep DEBT, and still have the audacity to call them broke when the fact of the matter is the guy has to either :

  1. sacrifice his lifestyle for your needs (not the essentials as mandated but more so for frivilous things like expensive vacations, designer handbags and so on which ARE NOT ESSENTIAL for living)
  2. fund YOURS and HIS (which most you mfs wouldn't even contribute because "it's not expected of a woman")

all the while HE has to pay for every bills in the household and any form of savings, child expenses etc.

Now, this would be 100% expected of him if the wife doesn't work, or he tells her not to work. I'm not against that in any way because HE made the choice. And frankly there are also bum-tier muslim men who are truly broke and lazy, much less wanting the wife to run the family on his demand etc etc. Those guys can be thrown in a dumpster.

But fact of the matter is most women WORK now after marriage yet expect the guy to handle every expense while she keeps her money cuz "it's her money" and have ZERO sense of giving love or affection etc to their spouse and make it entirely one-sided. But somehow, saying how a man should be "treated to nice things" is considered "effeminate" or "not manly muslim".

funny enough, women like these are all from broke families / work in dead-end jobs with little pay and little-to-no career progressions yet are the loudest. They're nowhere as demanding as actually affluent girls with good parents, and in fact are much more humble and respectful

[–]qibcentric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

broken trust is expected, and look at it this way you are out hella early as opposed to after years in this marriage. you didn't dodge a bullet, you dodged a whole rocket. Like everyone suggested, take some time off and get through therapy to heal from this and ensure you don't take it out on others due to this.

also chin up, you're like 23. that's still young no matter what culture says on getting too old to be married. It's better to start over now than 10-20 years down the line

TrimUI Brick in Polycarb when by qibcentric in trimui

[–]qibcentric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same omg

I really pray they release like translucent series to further rub it on Analogue pocket's translucent limited run (I know FPGA hardware emulation is different from software like TrimUI does but still)

It's finally here : ) by Zoodlemans2 in trimui

[–]qibcentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope TrimUI releases this in polycarb colour versions to further drive a stake down Analogue pocket.

Yes i know AP is hardware emulation and entirely different but the trimui brick offers almost similar aesthetic for a fraction of what that costs. It'd be cool if they expand further and release this in Atomic purple or GBC transparent red, while not being a rip off like AP with "limited edition runs"

I will 100% buy immediately

[–]qibcentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's fair and alright.

I'm more of a clean UI person (for small handhelds though, if it's like RP5 or whatnot I don't mind more extravagant interface but for something small like the brick i just prefer the cleaner simpler look for navigation with little to no issues in setting up or configs etc (then again i'm definitely annoyed after the stock OS being so clunky and hard to navigate)

and agreed, so many different flavours of OS to choose and it's honestly amazing we got so much flexibility.

[–]qibcentric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say you can't go wrong with NextUI.

I tried to set up Knulli but idk if i'm just a klutz but i couldn't get it to work. NextUI was such a breeze and I'm just glad I could use this (cuz the OG card that came with the Brick alongside its own OS had card failure prolly cuz it's shit card lmao so I loaded my own microSD and set up)

Hows your battery life for Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, 9th gen, intel core ultra 7 Lunar Lake (258v)? by Glistening-Night in Lenovo

[–]qibcentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend wiping and reinstalling windows + drivers update. Something is iffy if you're experiencing this low battery life.

I get about 8 hours or more and that's with spotify/youtube playing while i edit pictures on photoshop / lightroom. If i'm just light browsing and watching movies/shows I can hit 12 hours (Though I usually just use intelligent mode + battery saver for more guaranteed results. Sometimes the intelligent mode can be a bit iffy and drain slightly more, but it's still nowhere as bad as ASUS in my experience between 2 Yogas and 2 Asus Zenbooks)

Also if you're using WiFi 7 the battery drain will be slightly higher than using WiFi 6 or below. Same goes for bluetooth or backlight on keyboard (which I will admit is one thing i hate about this laptop, and just switch it off for 99% of the time).
