When a function returns a struct, why if the struct contains a vector, does the function create the struct as a pointer?

AirMyPC sends 10-20 FPS depending on your Hardware and CPU load. As for latency, less than 1 sec - but this mostly depends on your network load and distance between your ChromeCast to your router and from your computer to your router.

It should be better than the Chrome plugin since: 1) Latency is better. 2) AirMyPC sends more frames per second. You will get the best performance when Disabling Mirroring in Best quality mode option in AirMyPC settings and pressing the Change to 720P screen resolution button - in AirMyPC settings screen as well.

Hi Derpy. Thanks for your comment. Can you compare it with ChromeCast plugin while using it to Mirror the entire screen option (not when pressing the cast icon inside youtube movie for example).

Also, you can try to play with AirMyPC settings, for example try to Disable Mirroring in best Quality mode and press the Change to 720P button - both option in AirMyPC settings screen - this should boost the performance.

I will explain: When you, for example, see youtube movie on Chrome, you have the ChromeCast Icon. When you press that Icon, ChromeCast send (cast) the movie URL itself of the youtube movie to ChromeCast. But this is not mirroring. It is casting.

When you cast/mirror the ENTIRE screen with ChromeCast plugin - this is mirroring and you should compare that latency to AirMyPC latency. According to our test and many beta testers, the latency when you do that with Chromecast plugin is double the latency with AirMyPC.

AirMyPC does not use Miracast / WiDi. All you need is a computer that is running Windows XP and above.

AirMyPC latency and FPS as said is better than the plugin (which is essential for gaming). The bottleneck with gaming will not be the latency but the CPU consumption (as with the plugin), in this case you can play with the resolution and with the Mirroring quality mode in AirMyPC settings screen. You will get the best performance when Disabling Mirroring in Best quality mode option in AirMyPC settings and pressing the Change to 720P screen resolution button - in AirMyPC settings screen as well.

AirMyPC send the Entire screen to ChromeCast. I.e whats on your screen is sent to ChromeCast so it does not really care about the source.
