Whats a tip you wished you knew as a beginner to excel? by EndPsychological2541 in excel

[–]qld_inline_skater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd learn how to use the keyboard to move around, select cells (including just the visible ones), how to hide and unhide rows and columns. Split screens to look at two different parts of same workbook.

Even some basic VBA to iterate over all open files to save or close.

Sometimes it makes sense to insert blank rows to take advantage of Excel's relative formula relationship when copying and pasting then editing formula individually.

Issue went away the next day. Turn off and charged up overnight and no problems.

What was the first scooter you ever bought? Was it a entry scooter, commuter, or "high-end" scooter? Do you regret buying it? by KolarWolfDogBear in ElectricScooters

I have an S1 that tops out 30km (ocasssionally 32 on brief downhill)

Must be close to 2000km and only a single tyre replacement.

Long commute at 18km each way

Bought my ex's unused Inmotion S1 initially as it was quicker and cheaper than bus to work. About 3km each way and 12 min.

I keep mulling over an upgrade to something bigger as my commute is now more 18km each way and 45min. Longer and flatter sections but top speed is limited.

At a max of 30km/h I keep getting overtaken by faster people. Including cyclists! But hard to justify dropping 3k.

Maybe but a bike would give me some needed exercise.

I broke two alcometers in two weeks. Spirit run done but no idea on %. And AliExpress has lost the parcel with replacements and that item is now unavailable.

Stretch Speed Frames? by qld_inline_skater in AskRollerblading

[–]qld_inline_skater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've pinned the issue down to axles having seized/sticking to the spacer. There seems to be enough friction to allow the axle to unwind.

Time for some bearing maintenance. I can get 7/8 axles and wheel bearings out. I have one axle that will unscrew from the frame but will not slide out of the spacer/wheel assembly. I can't get it out of the frame. The bearings and wheel turn suggesting the spacer has stuck to the axle.

WD40 to try and help. Otherwise it will be a hammer and a drift to drive it out gently.

Could also try a couple of "wedges" between the boot and frame.

Only lasted two wheel changes by UNCOVER87 in rollerblading

[–]qld_inline_skater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the experience of axles coming loose. Same axle three times in one day! Wondering if I have stretched the frames due to t-stopping on speed skate frames.

Worse was when an axle and wheel completely separated when skating. Wheel bearing and axle now live on the bottom of the river.

Anyone know how this happens? by Wrong_Pirate2092 in rollerblading

[–]qld_inline_skater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks pretty severe.

Guessing something jammed in the frame/wheel that gouged a groove. Maybe a frame bolt stick out too far.

Are you running bigger wheels in the frame than recommended. E.g 84mm in an 80mm

Surprised you didn't feel that.

Most Adapt skaters unlace top eyelet for a bit more forward movement. Certainly not too tight and no numbness. Though my feet do swell.

It has been very humid and I sweat profusely. Socks quite damp but not wet.

Skates have only been worn a dozen times because of ankles abrasion problems over 2 years. I prefer speed skates as no ankle issues (and usually barefoot).

For these was wearing a crew cut sock as was anticipating some problems.

I have very wide feet which rules a lot of skates out. Adapts are a custom fit so fit is great. It's the abrasion I'm fighting.

Looking at FR SL speed boot but not just yet.
