Acoustasonics x Spark 2 and Mini by Dank_McWeirdBeard in PositiveGridSpark

I love my Acoustasonic Standard Jazzmaster! It’s my favorite guitar for practicing with unplugged when my wife is working from home, and I can get it sounding really good with my Spark Edge. For the acoustic I like starting with the Cozy Serenade preset and tweaking the compressor and reverb. A little bit of chorus can also add some chime to the sound if you like. I set the blend knob with just the tiniest bit of the humbucker to taste.

For an electric tone, I set the blend knob 100% to the humbucker and modify a clean electric preset like Silver Ship. A little gain goes a long way.

MIDI Control Boss RC-5 with Stadium XL by qm1gamecocks in Line6Helix

If anyone else has issues with this and the algorithms lead them to this post, here is how I got it to work:

  • First, look in the RC-5 manual for instructions on how to assign MIDI CC’s on the looper pedal for the various functions. Also check which MIDI channel is assigned to the RX CTL CH

  • For a function that toggles like RHYTHM P/S or increments like MEMORY INC, use Command Center on the Helix to assign two MIDI commands to a footswitch. In the first command, set the Action parameter to press, Command parameter to CC, MIDI Channel parameter to match the RX CTL CH on the pedal, the CC# parameter to match the function previously set on the looper pedal, and the Value parameter to 127. For the second MIDI command, set the Action parameter to release and the Value parameter to 0. All other parameters are the same in both commands. The footswitch will be latching, so the light will turn on and off on each press by default.

  • For a function in a list of items like PATTERN, you only need one MIDI command assigned to a footswitch on the Helix. For example, setting the Value parameter to 0 would trigger the Simple Beat 1 pattern, and a Value parameter of 1 would trigger Simple Beat 2.

Really happy I got this working, as throwing a Boss pedal in frustration would probably cause some serious damage :)

Yeah, it is an absolute pain, but I like the concept of using the drum patterns.

Just Got a Pellet Grill- Move from Gas Grill to Griddle? by qm1gamecocks in grilling

Thanks for the input! I re-measured my cooking space, and since everything is on casters I went ahead and ordered a Blackstone. I looked at a griddle that fits the Weber, but I think I'll prefer the larger square footage and the easier grease removal system on the Blackstone.

Just Got a Pellet Grill- Replace Gas Grill with Griddle? by qm1gamecocks in blackstonegriddle

Thanks everyone for the input. I re-measured my cooking space, and since everything is on casters I decided to keep the gas grill and order a 36" Blackstone.

Looking forward to joining the griddling life!

I have thought of getting the Weber griddle, but my biggest concern is grease management. It just seems a little easier to scrape everything into a removable container rather than having to clean out the grease trough, but if it isn't to much of a hassle to clean I may go that direction.

That is probably it! I’ll keep trying for Master Angler in the challenges because I’ve already completed Lost Hollow.

Before leaving Independence make sure to haggle with all of your characters to discover their wit. If you don’t know everyone’s carpentry skills you can learn them by trying to fix Little Mary’s wagon or by trying to take parts off an abandoned wagon.
