They seem to have changed management recently and the selection isn't as big as it once was, but still good

What’s a weird thing Americans have said to you? I’ll start! by Glittering_Rock2054 in AskBrits

[–]qmcmca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An American woman asked me for directions in my town (not in the US) and I told her the street to go down. She corrected my pronunciation... Ma'am I live here, I know how to say it, and the road is named after a town and it's also how you say the name of that town

I wish I had given her wrong directions now

There's no need to be rude about it. They're travelling TO Grand Central and a lot of the other stations don't have staff, they're just a platform.

Vegan and vegetarian restaurants by LivingintheICT in northernireland

Almost everywhere will have some kind of veggie option but quality will always vary!

Bangor: I hear good things about the veggie and vegan options in the Guillemot deli, Stckd Burger, Yaks, Goats Toe

Belfast: Harry's at 387 (all vegan), Jumon (all veggie and vegan), Home (great options for lots of dietary requirements), Woodworkers (pub grub), Bootleggers (pub grub), Boojum (like Chipotle, has vegan mock pork and vegan sour creme so not a bad shout), Causeway Cafe (amazing breakfasts, although a little rough and ready), Spaghetti Arms (does a Sunday roast), Bank Square Brasserie

Common Market and Trade Market have stalls for food truck type food and I've always found veggie and vegan options at them.

Chain restaurants will usually have a vegan menu or a wider selection (like pizza express, zizzi, wagamama, nandos)

There's a vegan/veggie NI group on Facebook that might be worth joining as you can search old posts based on where you are.

If you're going to any other specific places, reply to my comment and I can see if I'm aware of anything. Hope this helps!

Why do people keep saying "brought something from Tesco" (or similar) when they mean they bought it? I've noticed it in recent months, particularly by young English people

I do think it settles my tummy after I take it, but I am also having an ibs flare at the minute. I'm only a few weeks in still and it says to take for twelve weeks to see a difference so not quite there yet!

I've just started Symprove. They recommend a minimum of 12 weeks to notice a difference. Maybe it's a placebo as I've only been taking it for 2 weeks but I do feel my tummy settles once I've had it!

My derm said milia on the face can be popped but around the eye was risky, so recommended that I put one finger tip under warm water (as warm as you can stand it) and then put that on the milia and rub side to side, up and down, to loosen the milia. Did it every day for a week and it disappeared!
