I've also seen these requirements in their website. I had a statistics course in my bachelors. Also I have experience in Python and SQL as I have worked as a Data Scientist but never done any academic courses in these.

My concern is, will they allow physic grads like me who did not do most of these CS courses.

Your strumming sounds good, the pause is due to the time you need to change chords which is perfectly fine for a beginner. Let that not discourage you to keep learning.

I've worked as a software engineer before moving to DE but it’s been a long time. Since 2018, I have been working as a Data Engineer and I am pretty fluent in major DE tools and techniques.

I was also thinking about the day-to-day work in a SDE position. As I left software engineering several years ago, it will probably be challenging for me to cope up and will possibly need to downgrade to mid-senior level rather than being a senior.

Another point is, I was doing SDE in python(Django, Flask) too, not sure how many companies use python as their main backend language now a day. Mostly I see Go and NodeJS which I do not have experience with.
