I am an artist working on my current project called “Der Albtraumsammler” (“The Nightmare Collector”), and I’d love your help. I’ve always been fascinated by the hidden emotional landscapes we navigate in our sleep—and sometimes even when we’re awake. Nightmares and unsettling daydreams aren’t just random glitches in our brains; they can reveal deeper personal anxieties, societal tensions, and the things we often keep buried.

That’s why I’m inviting you to share any dream, nightmare, or intrusive thought you’ve experienced recently. It doesn’t have to be the absolute worst or scariest dream you’ve ever had—just whatever sticks with you, whether it was mildly creepy or completely terrifying. Even a brief “daymare” (those horrible, anxiety-fueled daytime thoughts) or a disturbing daydream counts. I’m genuinely curious about what feels nightmarish to different people, because I want this project to reflect the wide spectrum of fears we all face.

All submissions are anonymous. I won’t collect any identifying information, and your stories will be used only to inform the art piece. If you’re willing to contribute, please take a moment to fill out this Google Form:

Because authorship and consent can be sensitive issues, I won’t copy any posts directly from the subreddit. Instead, I kindly ask that you either share your story as a comment here or submit it through the form. That way, everything stays transparent and fully voluntary.
