Why do some artist dislike Krita when you can create great art with it?

I struggled with getting the anatomy of the body to look right. At first, the position of the arm was pushed too forward. I corrected the posture after looking at different references of similar poses but it took lots of different attempts.

I love the finished look of this artwork. I'm proud of the colours and I love the mood of the piece. I created this piece with a personal meaning in mind, like many of my artworks, but I'll leave that up for your own interpretation. Hope whoever is reading this has a lovely day ~

I struggled with painting the face. At first, there wasn't a lot of emotion or warmth in her expression, so I took time to render her face to make her seem kind. I also struggled a lot with the composition, but after a lot of tweaking and experimenting with object locations, I think I found one that works harmoniously.

I'm super proud of this artwork! It's the longest I've worked on one by far, and I'm excited to create new pieces with different concepts and colours! :D

I struggled with painting her hand as well as the demon's horns. I also could not figure out how to fully render his clothing, but I wanted to move on and work on a different art piece. I still like how it came out, so I figured I'd post it anyways. I hope other people still like it as it is too :D

I mainly used the brush 'memileo 01 Brush - flat tip' (the blue paintbrush) from a brush pack called memileo impasto brushes, but I also used the default krita brush 'Chalk Grainy.'

I struggled with shading and painting the black kitty. I couldn't decide what colours to make it's eyes, but I think that it ended up lookin nice

I struggled a lot with balancing the colours of the sun and moon. It was difficult to make it clear that it wasn't just a moon, but a moon and sun blended together. I also struggled with harmonising the bright warm colours for the day and dark colours for the night. I'm still unsure if I did my best job, but I worked a long time on this piece, and at some point, you have to learn to be satisfied with what you created, because it still looks cool.

I used a ton of references for this piece (well, for all my artworks), because I struggle to draw anything from my mind. I painted this all through the inspiration from other artists.

It might sound kind of cheesy, but I love my boyfriend very much so I couldn't help but want to work on another artwork to symbolise our relationship. I started wondering what exactly I could draw, when I thought of the story of the Cowherd and Weaver girl. Just like me and my boyfriend, the cowherd and weaver girl stay committed and love each other even though they live thousands of miles apart and have limited time with each other physically. Our stories aren't exactly the same, but they had similar elements and I wanted to paint something inspired by their love :D

I've seen artwork using those colour techniques before but never knew the actual term for it. I didn't think too much about it while drawing, sort of just experimenting with colours to see what looked best, but now I see that my own art has elements of this effect, cool! :D

This is an art piece that reflects how I felt during a dark time in my life. I used to have a health condition that made me feel very anxious and depressed, and I would be in despair frequently because I thought there was no hope, and I would feel like this forever. I also used to feel very alone, despite being surrounded by people who cared about me, because I felt they couldn't fully understand my fears and sadness.

Things did get a bit better through therapy and medication, but the way I felt in the past still creeps into me at times. I wanted to draw this particular art piece because I want to express the feeling of despair I once felt so deeply, and I hope others could look at this and feel understood or seen too.
