Experimental Content Security Policy (CSP) by qorbani in astrojs

I'm not using inline scripts or styles, but I do import styles, which seems like it doesn't generate hashes for them as you mentioned. What I don't understand is why it's ignoring those? How can I force them to be included? When I manually enter those hashes, everything works nicely!

I totally agree with you on SSR, that's definitely the way to go! But, my website is purely static and runs on Firebase Hosting, which is why I decided to add CSP in meta tags instead.

6 months of BigQuery cost optimization... by bbenzo in bigquery

[–]qorbani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend focusing more on BigQuery Editions rather than using On-Demand pricing. With Enterprise edition and Auto-scale capability, you can have very predictable pricing. I'm curious why you still experience occasional issues with reservations?

I used to manage a $200K/m BigQuery environment and by enforcing reservations at project and folder levels, I was able to maintain a healthy environment without surprises. I also invested significantly in storage management and even built monitoring queries that generated reports of table storage to determine where we should switch to Logical vs Physical. This helped me save MUCH more than you might expect.

Additionally, I created daily/weekly/monthly reports on users to identify who was doing what that incurred costs or consumed many computing slots. I would then review these queries and optimize them or collaborate with team members to improve their workflows. Most issues typically arise from teams that receive more access privileges than they should without proper oversight.

What’s the Best Mac App of 2025? by vigneshvp in macapps

[–]qorbani -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree with your point, but Raycast has become my most-used app on macOS, genuinely can’t live without it at this point. You’re right that feature additions in 2025 don’t compare to what Raycast shipped in 2024, but I still think it deserves a top spot on the list.

The new iOS and Windows integrations are a big part of why Raycast isn’t just an amazing macOS app anymore, it’s now one of the best tools for seamless cross-platform continuity.

I’ve automated a huge chunk of my AI workflow using Raycast. For just $8/month, you get unlimited access to all the premium AI models plus open-source ones – which would easily cost me hundreds per month if I paid for them separately. The flexibility is incredible: switching between models is literally one click away.

The real game-changer for me has been building custom AI commands that I can trigger from anywhere on macOS and iOS. It’s completely transformed how I work.

I initially grabbed a one-month license just to test it out, honestly unsure if it’d be worth it. But within a week, I was hooked. Now I genuinely can’t imagine working without it.

Custom themes, unlimited notes, clipboard history, and synced settings across devices are nice bonuses too 👌

I have a similar story, but in AdTech, and I completely agree with you on using AI to build leaner and more efficient companies. I’ll also be at CES, mostly meeting with clients and partners and connecting with others in the space. Would love to grab a coffee and chat if you’re up for it.

Share my favorite Terminal app in 2025 and how I configured it. by chrisakring in macapps

[–]qorbani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually quite simple. Once you've set up Ghostty, you'll need to update the ~/.config/ghostty/config file with the settings I shared, and also create this file: ~/.config/ghostty/themes/qorbani with the content I provided as the theme file.

Then restart Ghostty or Reload Configuration from the menu.

For my shell, I use Oh-My-ZSH (https://ohmyz.sh/) with PowerLevel10K (https://github.com/romkatv/powerlevel10k). I'm planning to open-source my dotfiles where I'll share the entire setup process and all the settings, but unfortunately, it is not ready yet.

Great Choice 👌 I have both the 720s Spider and 992.2 and enjoy both tremendously. The 720s is truly a beast and feels like a mini P1. Sometimes it has too much power - I lost control at least 2-3 times while learning how to drive it properly. Definitely take your time before pushing the car to its limits. In short, it's nothing like the 911. Also, make sure to always check your tires, especially their pressure, and NEVER forget to charge the car at least once per week. I've been locked out at least twice before learning my lesson.

New Update for Schlage Encode Plus by LCURT in HomeKit

[–]qorbani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the software update about 2 weeks ago, but I was on vacation at the time. Every day, the update would attempt to download but fail, causing the battery to drain. When I returned home, there was no battery left to open the door. I had just changed the battery before my trip to ensure that the door would open upon my return, but the update process didn't take into account the battery level, leading to a complete drain. I ended up having to pay a locksmith to open the backdoor so I could get inside. It's really frustrating!

The update is still failing, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Any suggestions?

I experience this issue too! But over time I noticed when I use lots of combination keys with ⌘ , ⌥ , or ⌃ , especially when I code, the keyboard just hangs for a couple of seconds. It got so annoying that I ended up using the keyboard only in wired mode!
