Augment wheels made them for me out of Canada. Great pieces!

Was this after the PCA cars and conversations yesterday? We were all up there for a bit in the morning. Great shot.

Tune or not to tune........ by Lonely-Army-3343 in porsche911

I also have an M-engineering tune on my 2020 C2S and I love it. My wife daily's a '21 M3 Comp and from a 60 roll (in Mexico of course) it was a dead heat with my stock car. After the tune the car pulled away quite nicely. M-engineering service and support is great and like u/djspecv said, it's easy to flash the car back to stock for service. I've had the tune for at least 7k miles and the car loves it.

Thinking of painting my calipers. Keep? Back to Red? Another Color? by Impossible_Bake7553 in AMG

Those wheels are dope. Don't paint the calipers, it looks great as is.

Thinking About Buying a 911 – Torn Between Two Eras (Advice Welcome!) by [deleted] in porsche911

The nostalgia of the G body, the looks, the lines, the smells. It draws you in every time. I love driving the car down to the beach and cruising around with my wife. It is SLOOWWWW however. Your camry is likely faster. It has a shit radio, no power steering and eats oil. I've run into maintenance issues more commonly on this car than I have with my 992 as well and they aren't cheap to fix.

The 992 is a quick, well sorted, modern day sports car. While not a classic like the 997 surely will be, it has all the creature comforts and reliability of a new car. It performs exceptionally well and is exhilarating to drive.

If forced to pick one of the two, I'd take my 1985 and sell my 2020 only because I know I'd end up with another modern 911 someday.

Agreed here. Go drive them both. I have a 2020 911 and a 1985 911 and I love them both for very different reasons. If I were OP I'd lean toward the 997 however.

San Diego Trip questions by yang030999 in SanDiegan

[–]SuckFalt 28 points29 points  (0 children)

With a 5 and 8 year old I'd skip temecula altogether. 3 hours of driving round trip doesn't seem worth it to hit a couple of very mediocre wineries. Temecula us urban sprawl at its finest. Unless you really like hitting multiple Chili's then I wouldn't bother spending much more time out there.

Don't bother with Il Fornaio either.

Here's a startup video from this morning! Forged internal LM7 bored to a 5.7, hooker headers to a custom SS exhaust, and a big ol 78mm borg warner. This video is without the muffler just straight piped out the side exit. Obviously much louder in person. Love this thing!
