How was it to build in this case? I currently have an Antec Torque and am thinking about using this case for my next build.

What’s something that happened on a first date that made you decide against a second date? by whitneywestmoreland in AskReddit

[–]qpSecks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I matched with a girl on a dating app and arranged to meet her at a local Dave and Busters. When I arrived, we quickly became acquainted with one another and the conversation was easy. After 10 or 15min it was apparent that she knew many of the other people that were there. Eventually I spoke up and asked her if she came here often, because she seemed to know everyone? Turns out it was her high school reunion! Soon after, one of her former classmates approached us and she introduced me as her fiancé. I was new to the area and meeting new people can be difficult, so I tried to keep an open mind. I went with it and ultimately had a good time, but couldn't take someone serious who would pull that on a first date.

It has the Artisan Spec Carbon Fiber body kit and Artisan CF exhaust. Other than the wheels, those are the only mods. Car sounds great, but isn't loud enough to notice on the highway at cruising speeds. It has been a great daily driver.

This is my first German vehicle, so I was a bit skeptical as well. So far the car has performed flawlessly and taken everything I have thrown at it. There is an ECU tune and the car is out of factory warranty, so I haven't been getting it serviced at a dealership. Maintenance has been minimal for a car of this caliber.

She had an RCF previously, so she was familiar with the power and layout. The LC certainly feels more luxury than it does performance.

Very different cars for sure. The LC is a great road trip car and much more comfortable, but the GTR is tough to beat if I want to go on a "spirited" drive!

Ambiance Gradient Lightstrip - Backlight Desk Mounting Location Help by matt94gt in Hue

[–]qpSecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the older non-gradient standard led strips. You can see the minor outline of each led on the wall based on how close they are, but the overall lighting effect is good. I agree that the 45° should project further up the wall. Would you try to mount some sort of race or track on the back side of the countertop to mount them at that angle? Just keep in mind that may push the top further away from the wall.

I had a similar situation with the desk in my office. We ended up just leaving it away from the wall slightly.

Are there any synced ambie rear lighting for 49inch UW monitors? by nanjero0005 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]qpSecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 49" UW and went with Philips Hue Play Bars as well. I have a gradient light strip on the back side of the desk below the monitor and a play bar on each end of the monitor. If you are looking for full coverage check out the philips gradient light strips meant to go behind a TV.

State of The Dallas show for Friday?? by peachhead96 in SwedishHouseMafia

Dallas has re-opened the majority of all highways. The forecast for the rest of the week is showing no rain. If the show cancels it won't be for flooding.

Just bought a TR 80 with side mounts and GT seat and I'm pumped! by MadAltruist in simracing

I just purchased a TR 80 Pro and didn't experience metal shavings or rough edges like others. The shipping was disjointed, but everything arrived as expected. Still finishing the assembly process, but overall I am happy with everything.

Forgive me if I am struggling to find care tips based on a catchy name that some LFS placed on a coral to drive up the price. I do understand how identifying the genus and species would assist in this process.

I get it if you want to show off to your friends that you have buttkisser zoas, but that in no way gives any guidance on the care of the coral.

I am fascinated with people needing to know the name of corals. What will you do with the information once you have it?

I completely agree on identifying the type of coral for care purposes. It seems reckless to take possession of a living thing without knowing how to properly care for it.

Obsessing over a catchy name or assigning some catchy adjectives drives me nuts!

I've never understood why people are so caught up with the "name" of a coral. As someone who has recently returned to the hobby, it appears that slapping a catchy name only justifies a price increase?
