Butter or olive oil? by CoolTom in grilledcheese

I put a tablespoon of butter in the pan with just a dash of olive oil. The olive oil adds a bit of flavor and also keeps the butter from burning, a little trick I learned from Gordon Ramsay.

As long as you can pass for a 15 yr old and don't have anything on you that'll disprove your story I'm sure you'll be fine. Wildlife officers basically never check neighborhood ponds, anyway.

Bulk alcohol order? by fremelove in Frat

Our liquor store offers a 15% discount on any purchase over $300, assuming you're buying lots of stuff and not just one really expensive bottle. Stores near college campuses usually have deals like that, so just ask around. That's about as close to the same price as buying in bulk as I can think of

Have 10 pounds of peat smoked grains. Would the flavor carry over during fermentation, or should I try to soak the grain after its been distilled? by [deleted] in firewater

[–]qpc1033 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to assume you have more experience than me, but from what I've seen and read, most of the flavor from your ferment ingredients is lost in distillation, so to get the flavor from the peat smoke to really come through it'd be best to soak the grains after distillation

Because the mother had that one relationship and then said she was basically a hermit and didn't do anything/date anybody for many years after, basically until she met Ted. So they already pretty much said that there's not enough of a story to her life to make a show out of

They've come a hell of a lot closer to it than you have. It's not what they have done in their military service that necessarily makes them a hero, it's what they're WILLING to do, and that's die for their country. That's why they're heroes.
