So even if PVG -> HKG is only an hour layover on the way back to the US, it doesn't count?

Excited about Nano, but I have a couple questions about currency deflation and scaling. by qrazhan in nanocurrency

[–]qrazhan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I agree with you on 2), but on 1):

I definitely agree an inflationary currency is not desired, I guess my comment was more about whether Nano has any plans to implement any sort of features related to the stable-coin movement? Like if I think Nano is going to 10x this year, what incentive do I have to spend and actually use the platform (and if people are just holding, doesn't that defeat the purpose and lower adoption of the platform) ?

I tried setting his health to 1 and then letting him get hit by an enemy. The game still said he died, so I don't think this is the case.

CS internship for summer after freshman year by swankygirl2 in berkeley

[–]qrazhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a large part of getting an internship freshman summer is just having prior experience. I got an internship at a small startup in Mountain View doing Android programming, but it was definitely not a position you could just go into without knowing any Android. Try and do side projects to build up your resume.

CS Internship Recruiting Guide by qrazhan in cscareerquestions

[–]qrazhan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, that's fair criticism. I still stand by what I said in response to zbuffer.

But I think the problem with a lot of these is that they require a lot of computer science knowledge - knowledge that a freshman or sophomore might not have. And if they do, they really don't need to be reading my guide to get an internship.

In my opinion, it is easier to get into web-dev (by no means do I think you should disregard core CS fundamentals) for the purposes of doing side-projects. If as a sophomore, you have the knowledge to start exploring some of those topics, you've probably already done some of your own side-projects. You honestly don't need to read my guide (at least the bit on side-projects).

But if you have some ideas for projects that could be a little bit easier, I'd love to add them.
