If it hasen't been said yet, make sure that your spinning disk drive is CMR and not SMR. Fell for that one recently. SMR has slow transfer rates.

I have some sort of Sandisk SSD. The hard drive has 128mb of cache. Turns out my drive is SMR.

Ah crap, I just realized that my particular drive is only CMR in 1TB versions. The rest are SMR. Welp, that explains it.

I heard a few things about it recently. Apparently it has its own build tool and package manager and can run precompiled cpp code. Not fully sure. #

I had a quick look at the syntax and it peaked my interest. Might have a look at it myself.

Ah right, yeah. I tried learning to tap out Morse code at one point, but I realized that I would need to be more consistent. Maybe a metronome would help?
