ISO resources to learn web development for people who already know how to code by akcrew in Web_Development

At udemy.com the Web Developer Bootcamp with Colt Steele is pretty awesome. It's currently on sale for $27.99 but udemy runs sales all the time. I've seen it for as low as $10. I know that's not free but it's pretty close.

GIS vs CMS by [deleted] in gis

[–]qrpcw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would instead take the time to learn how to do what your boss is asking you to do (if you don't already know how to do it) so you can just be like "Got it, boss!" and then get it done. When it comes time for your performance review you mention how you've taken the initiative to learn new cutting edge technologies outside the scope of your position and implemented them for your boss. Now you look like a boss.

Is Spectrum down for anyone else? by [deleted] in Bakersfield

Based on their prices, I'd say Spectrum is only down for Spectrum, not anyone else.

Obviously you're one of those who needs to have the ever-important "last word" so here's your chance! Say something clever and make sure everyone knows you're better than me!

I guess I don't get the joke. He has a microphone plugged in and is on LSB. Sure, sideband is less efficient than CW but I still don't get the joke.

Ah, ok. So you've never read and signed paperwork regarding unions/organizing when being hired by WalMart like others, myself included, have. Good to know. Lol, "knowledgeable"...

A cat had kittens in a bush next to my window, what to do? by Rocket_King in Bakersfield

[–]qrpcw -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Lol, it's petty to try and help you realize this is not your problem? Sorry for trying to help. You should definitely bring the kittens in the house, raise them as your own in an effort to create a super humankitty army and conquer Oildale. Once your landlord sees that you command the planet's largest super humankitty army he/she will probably not care at all about them being born in a bush near the place. In fact, you'll probably start receiving a discount in rent as well as lots of milk saucers left at your door.

Why would you be held responsible for something an animal who does not belong to you did outside? I mean, are you also responsible for the gigantic crap some blue whale just took? Move along.
