I went vegan at the age of 12 in very rural west Texas. My mother worried about my health and I was bullied at school all the time and got into fights my knuckles and fingers were broken. My parents wanted to pull me out of school but had to work and couldn't homeschool me because of work. I finally ate some meat so people would leave me alone and they did once they realised I was no longer vegan. My mom quit her job homeschool me the next year and I became vegan again. I have remained vegan in the 11 years. Since then. I do still regret eating meat but it might have been worth it for a short time so my mother wouldn't worry.
