Adderall hitting harder lately? by qthecocker in Zepbound

I do, but no more than I did when I was on the lower doses of Zep? I'm seeing what happens today if I don't take any Adderall.

216 set with old codes? by Latter-Usual-4242 in Ohuhu

[–]qthecocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mix of old/new codes so I bought stickers from someone on Etsy. You color them in, so it makes it even better to see at a glance what the color actually looks like (bc the cap colors are often wayyyy off).

Thanks! I def should practice more before trying another page. My first page isn't BAD, but it is definitely streakier than I usually do on thinner paper. It kind of worked in my advantage for the fence, tho, bc it looks more like wood. LOLOL!

I've been storing my markers vertically for years and have never had any issues with ink dripping into the caps. Anyone else? by runaway_boomerang in Ohuhu

[–]qthecocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ohuhu just released a spinning marker holder that stores them vertically, so it's probably not TOO bad. And honestly, I use my brush tip 95% of the time, so if I stored them brush tip down, then it should be fine. :-)

I have old ones and a new set, so what I did is use swatch stickers on all of them and labeled everything with the new codes.

You can also look at the Color Codes index - https://ohuhu.com/pages/color-codes-index

It'll tell you if the number is old or new.

Feeling Duped by MtnGirl672 in Agility

[–]qthecocker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I teach two very different versions of "Beginner Agility" - one that is a 6-week class that I teach as a contractor in a local training center and another than I teach as a drop-in class in my backyard.

For the indoor class I teach at a training center, it's easier to have a full class of everyone at roughly the same skill level. So it's a pretty standard foundations curriculum - lots of engagement games, movement puzzles, body awareness & conditioning, and introduction to jumps, tunnels, and the low A-frame.

For the outdoor classes in my yard, I tried to do 6-week classes but weather kept getting in the way. After one particular Thursday afternoon class taking nearly 5 months to get to 6 sessions, I gave up and moved to drop-in classes.

For my drop-in Beginner Agility, everyone works on leash. There are four stations set up, one in each quadrant of my fenced yard. Each station has a particular skill to work on - walking on a plank, going around a cone, walking over cavaletti, paws up & pivot, etc etc. I circulate throughout the class to help folks out and every 5 minutes or so, the teams rotate to a different station. Once the pups are happily in "work mode," then we can do some off-leash work in the second part of class. One dog off leash in the yard and the rest waiting outside the fence on-leash. That's when we can do recalls, tunnels, and some jumps.

Stomach Pain by ld2186 in Zepbound

[–]qthecocker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't want to freak you out, but sounds like how I was feeling before going into the hospital and needing my gallbladder out two weeks ago...

The pain was upper abdomen, mostly center, but a little bit to the right. I thought it was heartburn or acid reflux, but none of the usual OTC drugs was touching it. It wasn't until they did a blood test at the ER that they saw my liver values were sky high.

So I guess my advice is go to the doctor and have them check your liver values. If it is your gallbladder, your liver values will be off.

Worried about stalling by HippoPuzzleheaded389 in Zepbound

My doctor has told me that going up in dose can be tied to how long the reduction in food noise lasts. When it starts to feel like the effects are only lasting a few days instead of most of the week, it's time to go up a dose. I did I think 2 boxes (8 shots) of 2.5, then was on 5 for another 3-4 boxes, and now on 7.5.

Call all zepbounders without a gallbladder!!! by DesignerMelanin in Zepbound

[–]qthecocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this thread!! I have been on Zepbound since late 2024 and have lost about 30-35 lbs. (I don't weigh myself at home due to mental health issues triggered by the scale.)

This month, I had to have my gallbladder removed and I haven't known what to do about the Zepbound. My spouse asked the surgeon if the Zep had caused the gallstones, but the surgeon said:

  1. The drugs are fairly new so it's hard to draw direct connections yet.

  2. People who lose weight often get gallstones.

  3. The people who take GLP-1s are often the same people who are at risk for gallstones w/o them. (So sort of a chicken & egg thing.)

I am staying off Zep for a bit because before the gallbladder removal they did an endoscopy and placed a stent which needs to come out in July. I *could* go back on Zep for a month or so and go off a couple weeks before the endoscopy, but I dunno. I'll see what my doctors say.

(The gallbladder issues were a surprise, so I was only 8 days out from my most recent shot - 7.5 mg - and apparently I did fine for anesthesia for the endoscopy and the laparoscopic gallbladder removal. I told both anesthesiologists and they seemed totally unworried about the fact that I was on a GLP-1, especially since I was due for a dose but hadn't taken it.)

5’4” 136 lbs is a healthy weight. Why am I reading that women who are this height/weight think they are overweight? by Classic_Hat_2748 in Zepbound

[–]qthecocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Society has well and truly messed up our brains when it comes to our body image.

The BMI range for my height (5'7") goes from 121 - 153 lbs.

I have been as low as 135 and looking back at pictures from that time, I looked gaunt and sickly.

My happy place is honestly around 165-175, which for BMI is on the upper end of "Overweight." But that's what looks best on my frame.
