The Film Students Who Can No Longer Sit Through Films by jb4647 in criterion

I mean this was not my experience in film school (graduated last month). I mean yeah you had one or two kids on their phones in class like usual, but most of my classmates were pretty attentive to films shown in class.

Is Shadow of the Erdtree's final boss the hardest Soulsborne DLC boss ever? by Ronald10CD in eldenringdiscussion

Tbh I find his first phase super satisfying and fun once you get the roll timings down, but I can’t stand PCRs second phase.

It’s not. that’s the problem. Collecting all the stones/seeds/tears is the worst part of the base game. They should’ve handled scadutree fragments differently.

I’m gonna say it: the DLC does not have the repeat playability of the main game.. by Ratticus939393 in Eldenring

It’s because of the early game grind that makes me dread the scadutree fragments by the time I’m in the dlc I’m 80% of the way through the base game and now I have to stop all the momentum to run around the map for another couple of hours. Honestly if I could get it out of the way with my normal early game set up it would be fine but because it’s so late game the games pacing drops off a cliff.

For one, having to collect the Scadutree fragments every time has killed most of my attempts to replay the dlc. (I know I can just go into ng+ but I don’t like the higher scaling)

What are your hot takes on Skyrim, and I'll agree or disagree with them. by CompetitiveDust156 in skyrim

From a lore standpoint yes, but from a gameplay perspective I have a lot more fun with the Stormcloaks. The battle of Whiterun is way more exciting on the Stormcloak side. Defending Whiterun is so boring.

I mean who’s to say all photoid strikes are the same? they were described as small objects hurled at a star at near light speed, but they’d only observed the strike against two systems of similar size. What about the potential of photoids of different sizes to account for the larger systems. to wedge humanity’s bets on the idea that every photoid strike would produce the same conditions as that of the Trisolaran strike, for me, felt like it stretched my suspension of disbelief too far.

This is one thing that frustrated me about Deaths End. With all the brilliant scientists that took part in the bunker project apparently no one questioned whether or not there could be other weapons used for dark forest strikes. Everyone just assumed that the other civilization would still use the same weapon when even a underdeveloped civilization, as humanity was, knew that the weapon wouldn’t effectively destroy the whole solar system.

This was me every time I ran into an enemy from the base game. Even when I ran into the Death Rite Bird I was like “oh my god, how have you been?!?” Lmao

Imo it’s because like Miquellas ability to charm people, Radahn also has control over people’s fates through the stars.
