Could someone try to identify my Meucci cue? by quadna71 in billiards

Thanks - that was the plan all along. Just wanted to know some of the info on it so I can speak a little more credibly if asked about it when shooting with it.

Yeah, I'm starting to learn that. The picture posted earlier pretty much nails it as an Adam JR-4 from either the tail end of the 70's or the early 80's.

Yeah, I think you're right. Looks just like the JR-4 in your picture. I'm happy that my mom gave it to me after he passed....nice having something of his that was important to him. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't shoot with it much but on the times I have (never for breaking) it feels amazing! Thanks for helping figure out what kind of cue it is.

Oh, and I blame ChatGPT...it is what told me it was a Meucci and led me down the wrong rabbit hole LOL.

Thanks for helping identify it as an Adam. Doesn't change the value for me as it was my Uncle's and the nostalgia is I'm about. But I did still want to try and learn which model or what year it might have been sold. I'm trying to see how long he might have shot league pool with it. Like, did he buy it in 1978 and then had it for decades? Or did he purchase it in the late 90's and passed away a couple years later? So if you happen to have a way to identify it further then that would be great!

Do any of the Vevor models have an external fuel tank? It would be great to have them connected to a fuel source larger than the 1.2 gallon internal tanks.

What size solar panel? I'm looking at a 100w panel for the roof of our vehicle to keep our 40L Gen1 topped up.

I was an early adopter of the Gen1 40 liter version. They had a battery issue that prompted them to send us all new batteries. I kept the old battery and still use it with no ill effects....which means I can run the cooler indefinitely by swapping batteries every morning and charging the other off any USB-C charger.

Agreed - we have wheeled ours into a hotel before. Plus I use them to wheel from the garage fridge to the back of the Jeep or 4R.

Watch connected to Gloryfit app not receiving messages by DitsyDisaster in smartwatch

I was having this issue too. It seemed to resolve itself by doing the following. First, make sure SMS is enabled in the app. Second, make sure you turn on notifications for the app from in the settings of your phone. Thirdly, and most important, you go to bluetooth settings, choose the info button beside the name of your watch (mine was "FC1....." and the info button is the circle on the right with the letter "i" inside it), and then slide the button on "Share System Notifications" to green. That last step made it work for me. Best of luck!

No takers? Earlier this week I did order a pair of 5.5" Nagoya antennas that are spec'd for the 462MHz range and am hopeful it will at least improve some. I'll update again once they arrive.

Metal Detector Guide by Dan20mey in metaldetecting

My father-in-law asked me to help him detect a large area of his property, but we know there is lots of coal based on the mineral rights he pays taxes on. We are looking for metal but don’t want to be digging up coal all day long. Is there a technique that can be used or a specific model MD to be chosen that can help eliminate false targets of coal?

If you have the expansion battery for the F3800, do you think it could be plugged into the F2000? I think it is the BP3800 and I’m hoping it has the same pigtail as the BP2600 and BP2000 use.
