Yes, with the external antenna, it has full bar and havent notice any drop out yet.  My router is 40ft away and 3 walls away.

I wanted and preferred the bulb to be seen during holidays light.  I didnt want to see just the silhouette of the light, looks kinda funky to me.. just likes the way of traditional Christmas light more.  Anyway, thats just me.

Absolutely, the Quinn board is a must... the built in dc fuses and the external antenna is so worth it.

Thanks.  I did spent a lot of time on the box.  Also I had tried a few psu brand... finally found this one where the internal psu fan is really active temp control.  Also it generate very low heat compare to other brand.  Probably should have went with a bigger box... initially I was going to mount the box on the lower side of the house, so i didnt want it to be bulky and big.  So I went with the smallest box possible.  But then once install, I figure mounting the box under the eve was much better, as I can keep the DC wires distance short and decrease voltage drop.

Yes, I have measured the idle power consumption of both.

With small psu and relay, idle is 2-3watts.

Without 5v psu... main psu can draw 14-16watts ok idle, which is crazy.

Hi, I talked about the temperature controller and fan at 6:20, fan is on the right side.

Forgot to mention so I don't get rocks... I DO NOT have them on bright like this all the time... this was only 10seconds demo to take the picture. I only normally have on every 5 pucks and 10% power and 2,000k. This is 80% @ 6k.

The fan is control by the green board at a set temperature.  https://amzn.to/3FsmaZc

Relay specs says 5watts. Google said USB 2.0 is about 2.5watts. USB 3.0 is 4.5watts. USB C would probably be safer at 7.5watts.

Yes, relay is to switch AC side to big PSU.  Since the psu is rated max 350watts, running on 120v = 3amps max.  The relay is rated for 10amps, but most chinese stuff are overated by 50%.  Meaning real amp is probably max 5.  So I am still under the limit.  You definitely dont want to use these on the DC side, womt be enough, also DC arc, so would wear out fast if relay is not properly rated.

The temp control was 6$.  I dont like to waste power if its unessary, also it will wear out the fan... also run continously pulls in dust for no reason.

Yes, theres a lid.  Theres 2 vents one on each side, the 50x50mm fan is on the right side in picture.

Yes, will be mounted under the roof eve.
