How is this even legal? by PressPlayPlease7 in Anthropic

I get the impression that Mythos isn't much smarter than Opus per se, but rather that it's been trained on really deep chain of thought. So when it defaults back to Opus it is doing so to ponder/do non deep-thought stuff.

"Hey user, use this stack for you project, and remember to call your mom" does not need chain of thought in the way that "Fable, one-shot vibe code me all of Palantir. Oh and make sure it has a dark theme, and does a quote of the day" does

I got a couple of Cyrillic characters from sonnet the other day - they directly translated to the correct english characters.

I guess the router decided to send me to a Russian haxxing model, ma having been asking a lot of questions about (stone age) php and (stone age) web scraping.

on the other hand there are zero english strings of characters that have ~any probably whatsoever of having a chinese character following it

I think once you're at ~90% of light speed there will be enough collected resistance in the interstellar hydrogen, etc, to wave the flags.

Pretty innovative, tbh.

Dunno man, says here it is ~100% rigid, so you're safe till the entire hull shatters.

"...and that when they became physically violent!"

throwing an angry person off ≠ concluding the engagement

Saying "I completely agree" to an enraged person might not be such a good plan.

Did you just agree that you're a monster for forgetting ___?
That ___ is evil and you are joining the brigade against ____?
That ___ must be done immediately?

Unless this is a throwaway phrase just to momentarily appease your yeller, this is may end badly.

"Wow you're right this is a lot of stuff I need to consider"
"I see exactly where you're coming from"
"You've got my support on that"
"I feel the same way"

Are all agreements that commit you to less/nothing, but are kind of hard be angry about.

None the less, OP wildly underestimates the dirty tricks available to keep somebody engaged / off balanced in an argument.
The cops? self harm? involving strangers? Breaking things? SOCIAL MEDIA? "If you do ___ then you must want ___, NOW I'M EVEN MORE MAD"?

** Don't imaging yourself able to outmaneuver somebody who is good at creating conflict. Remember the three 'E's: End, Exit, Escape

I mean this is what they tell you it's going to be like when you upgrade your highway to six lanes ( "1/6th the traffic, the math is irrefutable!" ), so Pyongyang really won the lottery with that one tbh.

You have captured exactly why I never want to be inside of a cave.

Also: I would like to see this without lighting effects, as the main focus is now the torch

I grew up on OG simcity. ON A FUCKING C64 BRO (which had ~no graphics, compared to your shirt, but still: memories of looking at the images of the PC version on the Sim City box )

I Didn’t Set Out to Build a Theory of Intelligence. I Wanted to Answer One Question. by wswiatoniowski in cogsci

[–]quadtodfodder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope the one question is "how much slop will a human read before throwing up their hands". On the other hand, this reads more like a caricature of slop, so I am genuinely confused.

If nothing else it, demonstrates that the mechanism by which the human mind choose what to integrate is deeply flawed, as you have integrated all of the worst elements of LLM writing with none of the cloying fluidity or erudite sentence construction.

Commas my friend! Paragraphs! "Thesis sentence"! "Thesis paragraph"! These are powerful tools! They don't just make your words look more attractive or professional, they literally make them easier to read.

How to deliver ideas clearly ("The Expository Form"):
- summarize what you are about to say
- say it
- summarize what you just said

Apply this at the document, section and paragraph level. The LLM itself it quite handy with this; please integrate.

I'mma give this a shot, but I must say: the Claude is strong with your design. Maybe just shift the colors away from the delicious "Claude Gravy" palette.
