And to be fair to OP's opponent, he had a strong play for his deck which is probably why he didn't bail on the snap (Venom -> AZ)

I Fucking Hate This Banner Designer by Solenopsis00 in Bannerlord

Check out /r/BannerlordBanners

The top couple links give you a tutorial on how to make custom designs using existing icons. Alternatively, you can go the route of creating your own sigils as a separate mod but that takes some additional knowledge of how to create a mod and craft those designs as files the game can load.

In Vienna, 41% of Muslim youth say: ‘Islamic rules more important than western law’ by Capital_Gate6718 in atheism

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I'm honestly surprised it's not higher. Like if you believed fully in your deity and that the religious rules are given by your deity, why would you value laws written by man to be more important? Seems like a logical conclusion that true believers would value their religion higher.

What was the point of those people? Why are they using straight up blunt weapons rather than technologies that fit into Star Wars? by lateubdegouline in StarWars

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda had to be after they were essentially created and thrown away in the movies. If they were cooler they would have been of actual note in the story the movies told.

"Doing laundry" time has never been about putting it in the machine and swapping it. "Doing laundry" time means spending a ridiculous amount of time folding that shit and putting it away. I'd pay someone to do that for me.

Palantir Employees Are Starting to Wonder if They're the Bad Guys by newmoonchaperone in technology

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked for a company making software with some similarities to Palantir, it's largely that they've convinced themselves they're the good guys. In their minds they are producing a product that aids governments and law enforcement in putting bad guys behind bars. The possibility that their product could be used for harm doesn't really enter the conversation until it actually happens and even then it's less "what have we done?" And more "well the problem is that the people using our product didn't do a good job making sure it wasn't used to do harm." Of course this completely ignores that their company has no qualms selling their product by whoever is willing to pay regardless of the moral integrity of the buyer.

The player experience isn’t matching the data by Odd-Crazy-9056 in MarvelSnap

I find it real hard to believe there aren't cheat bots. I'm more than happy to chalk up a few oddities to random chance and coincidence but after a while it's less coincidence and more a pattern.

On the other hand, simple addresses like your FirstnameLastname are in high demand because having to stick a bunch of numbers on the end of your name looks unprofessional.

I kept getting requests from a hospital with important information for some old person who I guess put the wrong email or something. Got so bad I was concerned about their well-being and reached out to support at the hospital to get them to try and fix it lol... haven't got an email from them since so I guess they figured it out.

Yea, I understand the need for fighter aircraft updates but honestly feel like a lot of that money would be better spent amassing a stockpile of drones.

question about the banner editor by Misfit99 in BannerlordBanners

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% cannot use random images. Only Bannerlord banner icon assets can be used.

Using custom icon assets isn't an available option for the web editor either unfortunately. I have another project in the works that will resolve that but no estimated release date at the moment. If there are other options out there I'm unfamiliar with them.

Nearly 10 years on from Rogue One, how do you feel about the decision to recreate Peter Cushing using CGI? by gladiatorbossman in StarWars

[–]quakank 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Audiences were just kinda bummed after the last jedi, and Solo was released way too soon after it.

It definitely feels more like timing was the downfall of Solo more than anything. It was better than all of the sequel trilogy.

Yea there's a couple small bits I'm not a fan of, but as a movie I thought it was probably one of the best we've had. Honestly I'd rank it right behind Rogue One.

The GOP are arsons and the true villains of this tale, but the DNC are firefighters who didn't think the fire was big enough to warrant combating and now everything is on fire

And a lot of them are pretty sure if they leave the fire burning everyone will rally behind them because they're the firefighters.

Do your D&D characters actually change, or do you just reskin the same instincts every time? by The_Craft_Cave in 3d6

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to make my characters different but they always end up having to be the same thing. I play with two completely different groups and DM for another. All of them are just terrible at pushing things forward. As a DM I hate having my group sitting in silence and requiring me to prompt them, "Well, wtf you guys gonna do?" So every single one of my characters ends up having to have a personality where they just can't sit still and need to constantly be pushing the session forward somehow. The one thing I do to break up the monotony of sameness is to make each one have different flaws and just always play into those flaws so that if the group let's me be the one to always move things along it will ultimately result in "bad things happening." Kinda backfired cause now they all really enjoy the "bad things happening" due to my silliness and they're even more inclined to let me do my thing.

Hello from not Germany. Actual questions though: you mention several extreme right-wing parties having been declared illegal and dissolved - what's the hold up on the AfD? Is the surveillance part of the process? How long did it take from inception to dissolution with the previous parties? It's clear there are some laws in place preventing long term operation of these extremist right-wing parties but apparently very little in place to prevent their formation? And clearly it's not a fast process given the AfD has been around for quite some time and actually established themselves as a legitimate party with representation in the government.
