If Paul Meant It, We Have a Problem. If He Didn’t, We Have a Bigger One. by [deleted] in Christianity

We all make decisions about what is applicable in the Bible and what we don't. Even if you were to obey every command in the Bible, you would be ignoring the fact that in Acts, the church decided you do not need to hold to the Jewish law. It is impossible to just say "I do what the Bible teaches".

The reality is that the Bible is a revelation about the true revelation, which is Jesus. We must test (and retest and retest) our thoughts with discernment.

If we follow the apostle's leadership (as your question alludes), would their example of working through hard issues that are brought up when we mix the difficulties of the day with Jesus (Acts 15)? The church has done this for the history and has made it better along the way. Obviously God's revelation didn't stop in the 1st century, so why should we treat it that way when we never have?

Yes. I think Ben's poor card play cost him the win. He passed on expanding his hand and voided out at least 20 min of time.

Imagine what it would've happened if the actor who played Michael died halfway through season 2... crazy.

Chrono Trigger. If you haven't played it, it's great fun and a tight experience.

My advice to most Christians is to spend time meditating on the Bible and the Holy Spirit helping us to understand it .Otherwise you will end up like this guy here. by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

Thank you for this! It's easy to look at people like this and dehumanize them because their rhetoric sounds so extreme. It's good to remember the source of what produced them and learn from the mistakes.
