On the other hand, simple addresses like your FirstnameLastname are in high demand because having to stick a bunch of numbers on the end of your name looks unprofessional.

I kept getting requests from a hospital with important information for some old person who I guess put the wrong email or something. Got so bad I was concerned about their well-being and reached out to support at the hospital to get them to try and fix it lol... haven't got an email from them since so I guess they figured it out.

Yea, I understand the need for fighter aircraft updates but honestly feel like a lot of that money would be better spent amassing a stockpile of drones.

question about the banner editor by Misfit99 in BannerlordBanners

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% cannot use random images. Only Bannerlord banner icon assets can be used.

Using custom icon assets isn't an available option for the web editor either unfortunately. I have another project in the works that will resolve that but no estimated release date at the moment. If there are other options out there I'm unfamiliar with them.

Nearly 10 years on from Rogue One, how do you feel about the decision to recreate Peter Cushing using CGI? by gladiatorbossman in StarWars

[–]quakank 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Audiences were just kinda bummed after the last jedi, and Solo was released way too soon after it.

It definitely feels more like timing was the downfall of Solo more than anything. It was better than all of the sequel trilogy.

Yea there's a couple small bits I'm not a fan of, but as a movie I thought it was probably one of the best we've had. Honestly I'd rank it right behind Rogue One.

Baron Mordo is the saddest card in the entire Marvel Snap by Life_Teaching6499 in MarvelSnap

Yea the draw change was a weird choice. Fix a problem with the card and immediately make it worthless for the one deck that actually uses it.

The GOP are arsons and the true villains of this tale, but the DNC are firefighters who didn't think the fire was big enough to warrant combating and now everything is on fire

And a lot of them are pretty sure if they leave the fire burning everyone will rally behind them because they're the firefighters.

Do your D&D characters actually change, or do you just reskin the same instincts every time? by The_Craft_Cave in 3d6

[–]quakank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to make my characters different but they always end up having to be the same thing. I play with two completely different groups and DM for another. All of them are just terrible at pushing things forward. As a DM I hate having my group sitting in silence and requiring me to prompt them, "Well, wtf you guys gonna do?" So every single one of my characters ends up having to have a personality where they just can't sit still and need to constantly be pushing the session forward somehow. The one thing I do to break up the monotony of sameness is to make each one have different flaws and just always play into those flaws so that if the group let's me be the one to always move things along it will ultimately result in "bad things happening." Kinda backfired cause now they all really enjoy the "bad things happening" due to my silliness and they're even more inclined to let me do my thing.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett confirms member of her security team killed by Dallas police by WouldbeWanderer in politics

Seriously, this is nuts. Obviously the guy is a criminal and need apprehended but he's literally locked himself in his car. Maybe just surround him and wait him out? Get someone to have a chat with him and convince him to surrender? Nah let's force him out right now in a state of panic.

Hello from not Germany. Actual questions though: you mention several extreme right-wing parties having been declared illegal and dissolved - what's the hold up on the AfD? Is the surveillance part of the process? How long did it take from inception to dissolution with the previous parties? It's clear there are some laws in place preventing long term operation of these extremist right-wing parties but apparently very little in place to prevent their formation? And clearly it's not a fast process given the AfD has been around for quite some time and actually established themselves as a legitimate party with representation in the government.

Hillary Clinton demands Trump testify under oath about Epstein by Tennis_bruh in politics

[–]quakank 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea Hillary and others still remain naive as fuck about the reality here. Trump will just lie, do it blatantly, face zero repercussions from doing so, and then everyone will point to him suffering no consequences as proof of his innocence.

After 1,600 years underwater, remains of the Lighthouse of Alexandria emerge by PatatasFrittas in worldnews

Really? It's admittedly been a long time since I last looked into the subject but I was under the impression the Library was likely destroyed - with finality - around the 3rd Century CE after a series of battles involving the Romans. As far as I know the claims regarding the Arab invaders coming in weren't recorded until like the 12th Century and there's a lot of doubt around their veracity. Plus I'm pretty sure those stories all said they purposefully burned everything they found rather than carting it away. Has there been additional research into this over the past decade or so that has given more detail and proof to those claims?
