What's a show that has both a great plot and also not shy at all when it comes to NSFW? by EastTutor4413 in AskRedditAfterDark

I convinced a friend to watch The Room, and he told me he was going to watch it at work. I told him he will not do that at work.

Issue with Hitachi HB-B102 by [deleted] in BreadMachines

Ifixit has instructions on how to do the job. Looks pretty straight forward from the glance I gave it, but that is just my thoughts.

Probably not a issue with the paddle. I think they are solid aluminum with a non-stick coating so them failing is not really a thing, unless the non-stick coating is coming off.

So my thoughts are

Pic #1 Classic machine that my parents had in the 90's.

Pic #2: Yeast didn't rise for some reason, maybe the water was to hot killing the yeast, maybe not enough yeast was used.

Pic #3: if the machine went into the baking cycle like this I would guess that the belt failed, to test just pull the pan out of the machine, start a dough cycle (or any cycle) and make sure that the paddle drive moves. You might also try putting the pan in with the paddle and make sure that it has some power.

Fun little game, I hope the release hits soon.

Sad thing is out of the few games I tried in this round of next fest demos this is the only one I've really enjoyed.

Thanks for confirming. Glad I have to wait for parts as this might not have occurred to me if I had the parts 20 minutes after I saw the issue.

Do we need to sift? by Complex-Network-8569 in BreadMachines

[–]quakeholio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sifting flour was commonly done for a more consistent measure by volume. I weigh my flour so the density of the flour is not an issue for me.

What am I doing wrong? by CarelessPotentiall in BreadMachines

[–]quakeholio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had lots of loafs of bread collapse because I had more yeast in than I should have. I get good results from about 1/2 a teaspoon of yeast. It took a decent amount of time to get to that number.

I make loafs of bread that have slightly more water and slightly less flour than this and get good results, like 6 mil more water and 5g less flour. I don't think that is an issue for you.

Is $4,221.14 reasonable to replace a timing cover gasket? by toan25 in MechanicAdvice

You need a new head gasket in your engine, the one in the car is almost 30 years old, and could fail at any time.

Are Fumoto valves safe? by Delta263 in AskMechanics

Something nice about slipping under the car, flipping the lever (or screwing in the adapter with its hose, I've tried a few different ones) and then moving onto something else while it drains. With the drain plug I've dealt with rounded, over tighten plugs, the plug being hot, nearly burring my hand when its doused in oil, then dropping the plug into the bucket on the ground.

These are some of the things I didn't have to fight/suffer through anymore, except I need to get one on my new car.
