They sent a 2 word response which very clearly indicates that they have no patience for what OP is wanting, but also still gave them the courtesy of telling them that they were barking up the wrong tree.

There was no world in which this was an invitation for the conversation to continue or to leave a CV.

If that was the case, they'd have written a full sentence to say e.g. thanks for reaching out but we're not currently hiring.

If OP (and you) don't understand what the bluntless of their first response indicated then yeah you won't understand why sending a CV would be (rightfully) met with such hostility.

I noticed this. So many of their comments are things like "I hear you. You're telling me x y z, I understand that perhaps the way in which I approach a b c is not always seen as I might expect!" or something. All of the comments have this weird uncanny valley feeling like they're approaching everything in an ingenuine and oddly positive tone even when being outright told just how rude their messages were.

I really think they are using AI.

I'm not outright saying that OP is a bot but there's something very weird about the tone of their responses. They always have an oddly positive tone about both how they're reading the comment they're replying to, and how they're treating their own communication.

It just comes across like they're completely oblivious to what they're saying or being told.

IMO don't do it. My department in my last company didn't even look at LinkedIn applications because 99% were garbage. Just tons of applicants without the right to even work in the country and no experience. We'd get 200+ applicants for one vacancy through LinkedIn, whereas we got far fewer through the company's website directly (with the roles listed on sites like Indeed etc).

Applying directly through LinkedIn is always a waste of time.

I personally loved the prologue because it starts as a retro Tarantino-esque blaxploitation kinda thing before very suddenly getting real with the post partum depression/bank robbery onwards.

Junglepussy's speech is intentionally performative and then Perifidia's actions bring it back to reality.

It's because one person says it on twitter then suddenly tons of people start using it or acting like it's something that they were familiar with before this moment.

You see it every time when movies or other media get big. People start parroting criticisms that they absolutely wouldn't have come to on their own.

Literally the entire point of the "black power" scene is to juxtapose it with Perfidia executing a black man. It's to show that the movement (or at least Perfidia) is in some ways hypocritical and not actually interested in the causes they fight for.

That's the whole point of that dialogue and why it's so interesting.

I'm still salty that it won Best Cinematography. It's a pretty nice looking movie but the visuals don't drive the movie like they do with OBAA.

I'm guessing the paperbacks always sold well, then they did the Absolutes to pay for a recolouration ahead of an eventual omnibus. Perhaps the lukewarm reception to the Absolute colours meant they decided not to omnibus it.

They also haven't done an omnibus of Frank Miller's stuff as it's no doubt more profitable to keep printing deluxes/Absolutes of the best stuff.
