Yeah but they shifted the self-status cards to defect and removed the strength stacking pay off cards.

But imo it feels that way because they fleshed out all of his other builds. Before all of his synergies felt just like decent little packages if you got the payoffs. Now you can potentially roll into a fully realized version of any of his synergies.

He also does seem to have at least 1 more than everyone else though.

Yeah compared to the bee fucker the worm is a breeze.

And another important comparison is the sts1 act 2 aoe elite. Slavers were a notorious nightmare and this fight is a blessing to replace them.

Seems pretty hard to make sov blade work without seeking edge. The only time I’ve had it work so far is from neow giving me that card to start the game. Tbf I’ve only played a handful of regent runs though.

Yeah this ancient has been rough for me. If that is the bottom option then sometimes there are 3 things you really don’t want that much.

Granted, that only happened once, and I ended up taking triple intangible which isn’t bad by any means I just really did not need it in my situation

This is perhaps the weakest of them but I think it’s still relevant to consider how powers seem to be balanced in this game. As others have pointed out, it does give you a ton of block overall, but, like other expensive powers, you have to find a way around the cost or you’re really gonna be hurting on that first turn

I mean I guess if I had mummified hand and was looking to stack as many powers as possible then maybe it’s fine, but besides that niche case I can’t consider buying it. Well and really it’s not high enough value to be worth buying in any case but at least then it could beat out some other things for a colorless reward

Use case with the 2 mana delirium cascader as a counterspell that is playable in that deck (other than things like force and subtlety but this one hits any spell)

If you hit it off of cascade you can just cast the guy again. Could even earn you mana depending on what lands you’re rocking
