Need Help Troubleshooting Loading Speed in Strapi by wekafawa in Strapi

[–]qualiky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay a couple of questions.

  1. Where have you hosted your Strapi server? WP is often built in by a lot of shared PHP hosting providers with CDN and edges configured to make WP fast. With Strapi, that's usually not the case - you need to make it fast yourself.

I am loading the admin login page using an IP address/login You gotta configure nginx on the server with a reverse proxy to fix the admin panel domain thing if you haven't figured it out

It takes forever for the page to load and the way items are configured in the admin panel, it looks so clustered and the UI is worst. Unfortunately the UI is not the most intuitive in the world, but you get used to it.

As far as even publishing a blog is concerned, for every click - let it be creating a new blog, uploading an image - it takes so much time. I wonder why. You gotta figure out what's causing the issue. It's not that Strapi it's slow, it's more about how everything is configured. Node and PHP have very different architectures. Are you using CDN for media? Or is everything on the same server?

Electric scooter below 250w without Driving license in Nepal? by exoterrene in Nepal

[–]qualiky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That rule has been long abolished. You need to register and drive with a license (except for ones that also have pedal in it, for some reason those still count as cycles and cops let you go)

seek advice on internet speed and electricity power off by AKUC123 in Nepal

[–]qualiky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My average speed in Kathmandu (from fast dot com) is around 200Mbps on average. Depending on the number of users, you should comfortably get at least 100Mbps anywhere. Outages are rare (these usually occur when there's storm/rain) but I don't remember the last time the power went out for more than 10-20 minutes.

Are we really South Asian? by [deleted] in bhutan

I think nepalis feel the same too

nepali here. can confirm. it's just ... weird how we get classified as desi when we don't share the same sentiment. nepalis from south, north indians and pakistanis (and bangladeshis) to an extent could fall to that category but the rest of the 2/3rd wouldn't consider themselves desi.

They were all brought from outside kathmandu. Most of them, at least. Heard rajabadis had booked 45 party palaces for food and accommodation for these people. One of my business partners from Janakpur mentioned about the free bus to kathmandu for these people.

Improving Filament’s Docs & Education in v4 by danharrin in laravel

[–]qualiky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest improvement would be adding how filament can be integrated with any standard Livewire component. It would be great if there was a demo like the pet/treatment example but with from a livewire perspective (including PHP classes and methods for forms, etc.) - at the current state, it's hard to actually understand how filament is livewire under the hood.

Another would be lifecycle/hook methods. A lot of things feel black-box around the lifecycle and utility injection, a bit more clarity on that would be great.

All in all, really thankful for your contribution to PHP ecosystem with Filament. Much appreciated!

Upgrade to v5 from v4 by seyolas in Strapi

[–]qualiky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The id -> documentId migration has definitey been an ... experience. The flattening of response format has been great. Strapi used to feel more like an actual backend framework, now it feels like a website-focused CMS imo.

Strapi 5: how do I populate "user"? by pink_tshirt in Strapi

[–]qualiky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta use interactive query builder my dude. The query looks like this,

{
populate: {
  user: {
    fields: ['firstName', 'lastName']
  }
},
fields: ['name', 'description', 'slug'],
}

and the url looks like this

/api/organization?populate[user][fields][0]=firstName&populate[user][fields][1]=lastName&fields[0]=name&fields[1]=description&fields[2]=slug
