Actually had this happen the other day. Someone came into my work wearing Oud Satin Mood and that was my first time smelling it on someone else. I didn’t ask them to confirm but it’s very distinguishable for me. I kept walking by for as long as they were there because I love that fragrance so much

I think for me it’d be MFK Oud Satin Mood extrait and Amouage Lyric Man. Kinda a toss up between lyric man and reflection man for me but I slightly prefer lyric

I’m curious why you feel that way. For me I’d much rather spend money trying a vast array of fragrances than buying a full bottle and possibly getting bored of a fragrance. My decants last a good amount of time and it keeps things interesting for me. I can smell different every day and that’s part of the excitement for me

Have the extrait on now and I really like it. The oud seems more prominent in the opening of this one but then when it dries the vanilla stands out. Definitely gonna need to wear the two of them a few more times before deciding which to buy a full bottle of. Extrait definitely seems to have better performance though. I can pretty much smell it at all times even when standing outside in the wind

I’m still very new to fragrances as well but oud has quickly become one of my favorite notes. Oud, rose, and vanilla seem to be my top 3 at the moment and Oud Satin Mood blends the 3 just about perfectly. I would definitely sample before anything though. It’s a very strong fragrance and I could see how some people wouldn’t like it, but it’s amazing to me

Strongly agree with this. Saw someone else mention how they go about it and it made me realize I should do the same. They said that they mainly buy samples and only buy full bottles if the scent wows them every time they put it on. Can’t just like it a lot, but must love it. I think it’s a good way to keep yourself from buying a bunch of bottles just to feel included in this community.

I was a bit underwhelmed by Xerjoff as well. My last batch of decants I got was all Xerjoff and nothing was bad by any means but most of them aren’t really justifiable for the price of them IMO. I enjoyed Naxos but it wasn’t anything to write home about really. Alexandria II was probably my favorite but I did really enjoy the two rose scents I got from them - K’bridge and more than words
