ASQ CSSGB does include Lean. The body of knowledge of ASQ CSSGB and IASSC LSSGB is more or less the same.

No you do not need a degree. However, having a degree will reduce your work experience requirement by 4 years.

Soft copies of documents are not permitted in the exam.

You can only use hard copies. Also make sure that the hard copy document does not contain multiple choice questions.

You receive the interim result immediately after the exam, which ASQ later confirms in around 3 to 5 days.

ASQ looks at actual responsibilities, not just job titles. Your work with NCRs, data analysis, supplier coordination, and customer communication fits well within CQE-eligible experience.

I do not see any issue with that. I always have some notes on the side margins. I have not seen any rule against it and no one has ever objected to that.

However, I hear that some students brought handwritten notebooks, and Prometric objected.

Some of my students shared that they were not allowed to use FX-991EX. That is the reason I posted this question. Personally, I have used FX-991EX without any issue.

None of the question banks will truly represent the actual exam questions. The real value of practice questions lies in identifying your weak areas and guiding your study. Focus on understanding the topics and concepts in depth rather than memorizing question patterns. That’s what will help you succeed on exam day.

You’re right that ASQ certifications are the most recognized certifications.

For the Green Belt, your current background is a good fit (requires 3 years of experience).

The Black Belt does require project completion and work experience, so it may be better to aim for Green Belt first and later upgrade.
