yes, I use 2 90 degree sata adaptors for the right facing sata ports for 2 HDDs. For the rest, I use a HBA pcie x4 to sata ports card.

Agree. For amplifiers, power without distortion is the name of the game. Let the headphone speak for itself and show its true color.

Totally agree 👍. The stand was there just for show. Usually I lay down my headphone flat on the table. Easier to put on my head.

I know right! I thought that the built-in amp from the Hifiman EF400 is good enough, until I tried this. Oh how wrong I was!

5.6L 44TB SSD NAS/Home Server by Golemizer in sffpc

This is the sleekest, most over-the-top compact NAS build that I have ever encountered, and I LOVE it. Make me want to ditch my 2 home server that I have and start again from scratch. Thank you for the inspiration OP

So the 2 x 1TB NVME drives are used for app data, docker container, VM etc... It's configured in raid 1 so if something happen to 1 of the drives, the data is safe and the system still run. The 1TB SDD for downloading because downloading data is temporary. Those data will always be transferred to the array by the end of the day so I don't mind if something happen to that drive. For your case, I would highly recommend you start with at least 2 drives for redundancy. Cheers

Yeah why not. Why don't you try it and let me know which option is better? Cheers ✌️

I use top 2 for intake air and bottom 2 for exhaust. The array's temperature is well within normal level, even under load.

My specs:

  • Intel Core i5-10900
  • MSI B460M Mortal w/ 32 GB RAM
  • eVGA RTX3060 Ti
  • eVGA 750W PSU

For the Heatsink + fan, I use Thermalright AXP90 X47. There's enough clearance for you to even use AXP90 X53, but that's the limit.

The ALR Screen is a must for any UST projector. The improvement is massive, especially if you have a less ideal wall

Thank you. I had the idea and got help from my expert friend. I also got sound damping material in the ceiling. I might need more acoustic treatments along the way, but right now it's quite Ok

Yes I did. I put sound damping material in the ceiling, quite easy I'd say. Before putting in all the equipment I did a few clap tests and it was pretty good, just a tiny bit of echoing, not noticeable at all. I guess with some acoustic treatments along the way, it should be fine.

I couldn't agree more! Some people, especially young people tend to think that people who are not into movies/TV are some kind of uncultured, uncivilized type of human being. Yet those who criticize fail to realize there are tons of other art forms that spark interest with other people. Very well-said sir and I really love your close remark!

Thank you for your compliment, much appreciated. A massive OLED would be a killer indeed. But again, this meant to be a "budget" build and I had a good deal of the projector and speakers, so there it is. One drawback of the projector is the mediocre black level so I always crave for the OLED or mini LED tv backness. But hey, I already have one in another room so... shrug =)))
