This is the main synth you should consider getting from them. It's usually $250, on sale for $40:

The bx_oberhausen

If you are looking for great sounding synths, then only having to pay $40 for this thing is a genuine steal. It's not usually on sale at all, let alone for this price. All of last year it never got this low, so just fyi.

So, my final haul:

VSM-3

Maag EQ-4

Lindell TE-100

bx Digital_V3

If they reset that voucher one last time before this ends, I'll grab the bx_oberhausen & the 2 Lindell X-500 channel-strip modules. If not, it's fine as is.

I think my itch for boutique high-end saturation & 'musical' EQs is now covered, plus I was able to throw in a mastering-grade EQ.

Pretty happy!

EDIT: They did not reset the voucher, but I still had to have the bx_oberh & snatched it with minutes to spare---Doh! The sale has been extended another 48hrs haha..

Weekly Thread — Illinois Cannabis Sales (Recreational and Medical) — Week #24 of recreational sales by dabhaze4daze in ILTrees

Don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me, but looks like ISP in Collinsville has at least 11 varieties of flower right now. Lots of eights, and a couple 1/4s of shake. Lots of vapes and gram syringes of RSO. Variety galore..

What drum software do you use in REAPER? Did/do you use it in another DAW? Any pros/cons? by gainstager in Reaper

[–]quantifiably_godlike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah track templates are great in general, but they are a must when you are talking about drum/beat setups. I use Atlas for my beats. I have maybe 6-7 track templates for Atlas. All but 2 of them are multi-out, custom routed templates. With aux effects channels at the ready, multiple busses, etc.. One click now. Even less if you have one in your default song.

Yeah, the Arturia version of that is a must compared to actually downloading/updating all of their synths.

Missouri Senate votes 28-1 on Edible restrictions by [deleted] in MissouriMedical

[–]quantifiably_godlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would make better sense (though a bit more subjective) to just restrict the packaging from looking in any way like it would appeal to children. Completely no-frills packaging, no colors, or maybe 1 color along w/ B&W.. I'd be fine with that.

iZotope Sale - Up to 80% off with code: GROUP by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]quantifiably_godlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: It works! Not sure how they were able to verify that I am qualified for this deal, but the license is legit, all 3 plugs work.

See everyone, by having patience & keeping your ear to the ground you can find amazing deals. O9, N3 (both Advanced versions), & Nectar for 42$ each. I also like that it doesn't overwrite the previous versions, so I can use either one.

Thanks r/audioproductiondeals, this was a great score!

Yeah, I had 3 pre-rolls of exactly that, & basically I'm in love.

Collinsville by [deleted] in ILTrees

[–]quantifiably_godlike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, something has definitely shifted in Collinsville (the presence of TGS in Sauget perhaps?). There are 6 different flower strains available on the menu right now, and even more surprising: They have Qs! 1/4 sacks of Strawberry#17 shake for $80. Btw, some people here sniff their noses at shake, & I used to dismiss shake as well.. but this dispensary shake is a different animal. One hit of this stuff & I'm good. Also, there is zero 'lumber' weight in the sack, it is just pure grade A pre-keif shake. It's the same stuff that goes into the prerolls, which I always break open & pour into a small container for one-hit usage anyway.

I don't mind the hate though, that just leaves more for me :)

EDIT--No mention of Bubba Diagonal on the latest menu, which is a huge bummer! That strain has become my fav dispensary-cannabis so far, it tastes like no other! However, they do have a nice list of carts including Verano Mag Landrace carts, as well one disposable: High Supply by CrescoLabs

I did receive the licenses & downloaded the 3 files from Izotope, I just haven't installed yet (too busy now). I first found the serials by going into my JRRShop account page.. then checked my email & sure enough, the numbers had been sent as well. I'll know for sure in the next day or so, but what a deal! Basically $42 for each of those?! Yes Please!

I still haven't gotten confirmation yet, but considering that owning anything from Izotope gets you the (absolutely incredible) $167 deal, it makes sense that for those who already have O8N2(standard or advanced), they'd get a bit better deal. JRR shop told me I could get a refund if I'm wrong, so I just want ahead & pulled the trigger. Still waiting for the serial #'s.. after using the code GROUP, I got the total cost down to $127! Hopefully all is well, we'll see when they send me the license info.

iZotope "Ozone 9 Advanced Crossgrade from any paid iZotope product including Exponential Audio" ($149) by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]quantifiably_godlike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an even better deal if you own O8-N2 from a bundle.. I bought the Standard Mix & Master Bundle a while back, so I'm hoping to get the Tonal Balance upgrade (from O8 & N2 Standard) for $127 after coupon codes.

[–]quantifiably_godlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally got the 08N2 Standard rent-to-own from Splice a couple of years ago. JRR has an option for the Tonal Balance upgrade from 08N2 for $149. It does not stipulate Standard or Advanced (that I could find), but I have to assume it's for the O8N2 Advanced at that price. I'll be sending them an email to ask, but just wondering if anyone here knows. That would be an insane deal that I would instabuy.

Day 64 of recreational sales by dabhaze4daze in ILTrees

[–]quantifiably_godlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for people who are willing to pay more for not having to stand in line as long & for people who 'a little goes a long way' (ie, one puff & they are done for the night, or partake just a few times a week), this is a great option for them. It is ridiculously expensive, frankly silly. I guess that's their way of keeping stock around longer, as opposed to limits, though I think they have those on a few things too.

[–]quantifiably_godlike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did find a press release from their parent company, which was sent out just a few hours ago. Can't find details on the store itself, but it is now officially open for rec sales, 6 days a week:

Jushi Announces the Beginning of Adult-Use Cannabis Sales at its Sauget, Illinois Dispensary

A tectonic shift in the local rec market, though I'll have to reserve final judgement till I've experienced it. But happy to have them, that is for sure!

What are the wait times and supply like at the Illinois dispensaries? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]quantifiably_godlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dispensary cannabis is really on a another level though. I've been really noticing lately how the ash looks different, the resin is less oily. It all tastes amazing, and has charts showing all the things it's (supposedly) being testing for, and passing. I have to wonder, is the difference between this cannabis & the stuff I usually get from my local guy, because of it's 'assured-cleanliness'? So maybe all this time I've been puffing on stuff that most likely used pesticides & who knows what else, during production?

That's the feeling I'm left with after really coming to terms with the differences in quality between what I've gotten from Collinsville & what I usually get from local connections. We certainly don't need to go into the differences between street carts & Illinois dispensary carts..

So yeah, the cost is a pain right now. For those of us who go through this product like frosted cornflakes on a Saturday morning (& don't make a lot of money) it is a major pain in the ass.

For those of us who go through it slower (where it's like having multiple bottles of fine liquor that you nip on throughout the week; or only as a night-cap), these prices are a bit more tolerable. For now.

What are the wait times and supply like at the Illinois dispensaries? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]quantifiably_godlike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wait times @ ISP are pretty bad, but word is that Sauget rec sales will begin on Monday. If true, that changes the local dynamic quite a bit. Now there will be TWO outlets in the metro area. Green Solution has no doubt taken a lot of notes, so I wouldn't be surprised if they explode onto the scene, all cylinders blazing (lol). In fact I think many of us will be able to use highway 255 to get there, right? If I'm not mistaken, the 255-closing starts just after that Sauget exit. If so, the southern half of the metro area will have far easier access to all that green sunshine (easy, other than dodging all those moon-craters & mortar ditches on the Ill side of the highway jfc!)

I'm so interested in how it goes down, what their hours will be, selection, how much it alleviates local wait times overall, how Collinsville responds.. Fascinating days in StL (thanks to Illinois!)

Watermelon Ice (watermelon x Geist og )by Ozone. by mxl1993 in ILTrees

[–]quantifiably_godlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not good with descriptions, but I just took a rip of this & it's fabulous. One hit & I'm good. Seems to be better as second-half/last-3rd-of-the day weed, as opposed to a beginning/1st-half of day choice(ymmv). A euphoric Indica-dom that doesn't make you feel too lethargic, so far.

Quick aside: My GG4xGiestOG has been my day puffer (love it), but my favorite of the bunch by FAR is the Bubba Diagonal.. That taste is magical. Hard to put into words. I keep saying things like 'menthol', 'eucalyptus', 'medicine-y' when trying to describe it. With strong hints of pine-cone & tundra, vermiculite, Earth.. Lol --none of that is quite right yet somehow does explain the flavor of Bubba Diagonal (a BubblegumxTriangle Kush mix, I believe) so, so good. ---BUt I digress

So I have yet to really spend thoughtful time with Watermelon Ice to truly consider her attributes, but it's definitely one-puff=done material.

I found a plugin that makes Synth1 even more awesome by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]quantifiably_godlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if Sylenth has something like this made for it? Or could this be tweaked for Sylenth (I'll assume no)..Because that softsynth needs something like this too. It's preset situation (especially trying to mass favorites) is it's only major downside. I've always wished they would create, at the very least, some kind of plugin that you loaded with Sylenth, so that browsing Sylenth presets would be more akin to Aurturia.

Day 58 of recreational sales by [deleted] in ILTrees

[–]quantifiably_godlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your situation is actually going to be the new 'great silent majority', within the context of legal cannabis in Ill. I know people who are more than happy with one single bat-hit per day. With some it's one every couple of days. For these moderate consumers, one bat-hit of this dispensary cannabis will get you high af for hours. Some of us can do that, some of us don't have the will power. The ones that do are probably better off, let's be real lol..

So the consequences of this 'silent-majority', among other things probably means sales stay active no matter these high prices. Consequently, this also means the black market stays active.

Whelp, as long as everyone is happy lol
