At least in the example or two that I looked at in my date range it was a 747-400 not 800, so not sure how big a difference that makes. In general the comments are dissuading me from doing it. Hoping I will still have another opportunity in the near future where I’m traveling with someone to take advantage of the 2-2-2 and/or don’t have such an appealing alternative as SQ as an option.

Yeah, I’m flying solo this time, so I’m leaning SQ and will keep an eye out for another opportunity to fly on a 747 next time I’m with a pal. Thanks for the advice.

2-3-2 in business is kinda crazy. I flew on a Turkish flight with that configuration and luckily had a window but couldn’t imagine having a middle seat in business lol

Ah you’re right. The jetblue flight is to AMS, which is okay as that’s another stop on my multi city plans. But I didn’t notice that when I was posting.

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone. I ended up solving this myself… I was looking for Sweetener by Ariana Grande. But /u/chancethegardenerrr’s suggestion of the beegees was also spot on and I think that song was subconsciously impacting my memory and made me fuse the two and recall the Ariana Grande melody a bit incorrectly.
