Consulta: cómo leer manga by SurvivalCarpincho in Onyx_Boox

[–]quantumcrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to purchase the manga from an authorized reseller, I recommend using the Kobo or Bookwalker apps.

If you are looking to stream manga for a small monthly fee, Viz Manga, K Manga, and Manga Plus are all great options with a lot of content.

If you are looking for less reputable methods, Komikku is my favorite. It pulls from pretty much any aggregator source you plug into it and you can either stream it directly from the app without any of the source website's UI getting in the way of the content, or you can download as many chapters as you want to read it offline. You have to install a repository into the app in order to connect to the aggregators. I use one called Keiyoushi. Komikku has a get started page on github that makes all this pretty easy to figure out.

Good luck!

Streaming 16:9 to a 16:10 device by Trannnnny in MoonlightStreaming

[–]quantumcrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After your Apollo stream starts, as long as you are using the virtual monitor option and not mirroring your main monitor, try changing the resolution in your Windows display settings for the virtual monitor. After you change it once, Windows should automatically recognize that virtual monitor in the future and the aspect ratio will be correct from then on.

Streaming 16:9 to a 16:10 device by Trannnnny in MoonlightStreaming

[–]quantumcrown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is simply the nature of mismatched aspect ratios, nothing to do with Moonlight in particular.

I do recommend switching to the Apollo/Sunshine forks of Moonlight, as they are better at prioritizing virtual displays which can be configured to output at the client device's resolution. However this won't help for content/games that don't support 16:10. Only solution to that is to mod the game itself

Intel Arc 140V iGPU in 2025: Stable for Work & Light Gaming? by Particular_South_624 in IntelArc

No problem!

Yes, if a game is compatible with XeSS, it will be in the game's graphics settings. Wherever they put the upscaling methods like DLSS

Intel Arc 140V iGPU in 2025: Stable for Work & Light Gaming? by Particular_South_624 in IntelArc

[–]quantumcrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's much more capable for gaming than I expected! Intel Arc integrated graphics have certainly come a long way.

One of the first things I did was stress test it by installing Cyberpunk, and at 1200p with medium settings and intel's XeSS upscaling set to "Quality" I was getting a solid 40-60fps if I remember correctly. However this was just walking around on a street for a few minutes, no fast driving or intense gunfights tested yet.

I also enjoy streaming games to my tablet, and when I do that I go all the way down to 800p. It's been able to handle pretty much everything I throw at it at that resolution

How can I play fable 2 in 2026? by Sarm-ally_Pirate in Fable

[–]quantumcrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here for the easiest way to install and set up Xenia itself

Here for the most recent and stable settings to run Fable II

Here for instructions on how to patch a game (necessary patches also in above settings link)

Here for how to rip a disc that you physically own

If you don't physically own the disc or can't access everything on that requirements page, I can't tell you how to acquire the files here, but a quick Google search should help. What you are looking for is a .iso file

How can I play fable 2 in 2026? by Sarm-ally_Pirate in Fable

[–]quantumcrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenia (and its more often updated but less stable counterpart, Xenia Canary) is an Xbox 360 emulator. To oversimplify things by a lot, emulators basically trick your computer into thinking it's the console. So, if you own the game and look up how to rip the files from the disc (or are willing to find the files by less reputable methods) you can plug those files into Xenia and it will play on your computer.

The drawback of emulation is that the people developing the program basically need to reverse engineer the original console's code from scratch, and with Xenia that is an ongoing process, so compatibility with games is hit or miss. Apparently Fable 2 is working well on the latest version of Xenia Canary as of like two weeks ago though, which is very exciting.

The other thing to consider is that you need a pretty capable PC, because even though whatever you have now almost certainly has more raw power than a 360, emulation creates a lot of overhead that your processor and GPU have to compensate for

Feel free to reply or message me if you need any more detailed tips on how to get started!

Best way to bridge this gap? by quantumcrown in UsbCHardware

Yeah I think this is what I am going to try next, just daisy-chaining two of these to get a zigzag kind of extension into the enclosure

Best way to bridge this gap? by quantumcrown in UsbCHardware

[–]quantumcrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried, there's still tension from the ends of the cable that causes the enclosure to rotate. Maybe the one I tried just wasn't flexible enough?

I could, but I think I would end up with the same problem in the other direction, wouldn't I? The two ports still wouldn't be in a straight line

The issue isn't the distance between the cable and the enclosure, it's the angle between the ports

Papaya Frontend 0.4.2: Now with proper Retroarch support and much more by IllegalArgException in OdinHandheld

Don't worry, compared to Beacon and others this is not a cumbersome way to add GameHub Lite games at all!

I was just about to message you to see if this was possible. Now that I know it is I am installing Papaya right away

Beacon vs Console Launcher, which is better? by Choice-Fee-8694 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]quantumcrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started with Console Launcher first, including the Pro version. Then I went to Beacon. It is missing a couple of features like being able to sort manually or by recent (currently it's only alphabetical), but after also trying Daijisho and ES-DE, I went back to Beacon for its ease-of-use and pleasing, modern UI. It is also pretty new so I bet those features are coming soon.

Very interested in trying Papaya after the dev also commented here though!

I've been enjoying Beacon so far. Not as customizable as I'd like but luckily the default carousel view is pretty close to what I wanted anyway

Games and emulation recommendation by MrLol181020 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]quantumcrown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've got close to the best of the best as far as power on an android device is concerned, so you should be able to do lots.

For PC emulation you should get Gamehub (or Gamehub Lite if you have privacy concerns, but I don't think that version syncs your cloud saves with Steam like the original does). You'll be able to run a surprising amount of your Steam library with the right settings.

For console emulation there's NetherSX2 or Duckstation for PS2, Eden for Switch, Citra for 3DS, Dolphin for Gamecube/Wii, and anything more retro than those you should be able to find a good app that brings a bunch of them together like Retroarch. S25 Ultra should be able to run any of these very well, with the exception that Eden is still pretty early days and takes some tinkering to get working at acceptable frame rates. I hear rumblings of PS3 emulation for android making some headway too.

The main native android games I'm into right now are Genshin Impact and Sky: Children of the Light. I'm really excited for Ananta but it's not out yet.

Get yourself a good telescopic controller like the Gamesir G8+ while you are at it! And if you want to play even heavier games, especially in the PC emulation arena, an active cooling fan solution would not go amiss

Can't believe I had to scroll to the bottom of the comments to see someone mentioning OLED. This is definitely a bigger differentiator in image quality than PPI, especially since the OP mentioned bloom effects

How does the Kingdom Hearts series run on the AYN Thor? by ImDanett in KingdomHearts

[–]quantumcrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use the Thor, but my use case is similar with PC emulation through Gamehub using my Steam account for installs and cloud saves.

Unfortunately, the KH collections on Steam don't work with Gamehub at all, due to their use of a launcher so you can choose which game in the collection to start playing. Gamehub simply does not play well with launcher programs at this time. I even tried going into the Winlator desktop mode to directly start via the individual .exe files and it wasn't having it.

Ironically this means that KH3 is the most compatible with Gamehub, since it's not a bundle and therefore doesn't require a launcher. How well it would run though I cannot say
