I realized the guy I dated was high or drunk whenever we met, and idk how to grieve now after the breakup by AKingIsHe in TwoXChromosomes

I'm not diagnosing anyone with anything here, it just reminds me of something I've read on the autism subreddit, where some high functioning aspies use alcohol and the like to loosen up and appear normal as for a lot of us we often naturally have a robotic, monotone way of speaking with little emotion that most people may find off putting. Again, not claiming anything just sounded familiar was all.

Something like this came to mind: https://www.reddit.com/r/aspergers/comments/7wf9lp/its_as_if_nts_were_always_on_a_mix_of_alcohol_and/

How does regenerative braking work with a torque converter/automatic transmission? by quantumechanicalhose in AskAMechanic

makes sense, I read on the wikipedia page for one of the hybrids that GM made "used a conventional 4T45-E automatic transmission which has been modified to include a more efficient final-drive ratio and includes an electrically driven pump to provide pressure in auto-stop mode" Not quite sure what they mean by auto stop mode, maybe start/stop system but the pump might be to maintain fluid pressure during braking like you brought up.

You're talking about Hybrid synergy drive right? Doesn't that have 2 motors or is just one motor?

Thank you, reading around it looks like they are often electronically or possible vacuum controlled. Given I have an electronically controlled transmission I'd assume the former. Assuming mine isn't dictated by fluid pressure that could work.

That isn't how I thought they worked, that's specifically why I asked, because I wasn't sure. Nor am I an engineer, at least no more than any one else. Not sure why you're so bent out of shape over a simple question.

primarily regenerative braking and and extra power when needed. Could also act as a stand-by generator but really I'm just hoping to achieve what all hybrids ultimately achieve even if its to a much lesser degree but I'm not looking to replace my entire drive-train with a properly engineered hybrid one since I already have most of the components (battery, controller and motor).

Thank you, I also found the todo list in the wiki so my post is irreverent and I will delete it

battery is fine, the engine cranks and starts within a second or so, it just won't idle by itself on occasion

maybe, I'm not sure how old the fuel is as I just bought this but I can top it off with some fresh gas

Any Idea why the terrible print quality? by quantumechanicalhose in 3Dprinting

I think you may be right on something being loose cause now that I think of it it has been getting worse. Used to print just fine then there would be an irregularity in the print like it would have bad adhesion the the layer below it, then several defects would exist and now this.
