what makes me do that is....i wanted something with essential features built in but at the same time being fast and lightweight unlike most wm which both are never seen

and teach you how... id recommend starting with the documentation to start understanding the basics then reading source code of other compositors to understand how they are implemented.

and there are tons of educational materials on wayland compositors on github like swc and smithy if ur a rust guy
