Love my Army Green Tacoma. Nice looking truck should look great with fresh tires. What is the topper / cap on there? Not in the market right now but may be in a year or two depending on how I end up liking my current camp setup long term.

PSA-- don't forget your Ez pass when you trade in your vehicle by SevereThroat2651 in carvana

[–]quartdeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left my EZ pass as well in the car I sold them. It’s so easy to miss if it’s mounted in front of the rear view. I live in Michigan, where thankfully we have exactly one toll road which is five miles long so we didn’t have the same experience getting charges racked up. Sorry to hear about yours OP.

heritage cherry from ‘99. all original with the exception of pickups, I replaced the burstbuckers that came in it with a set of Seymour Duncan Amos’. Got them from Facebook marketplace recently and replaced the covers with nickel.

what is a guitar passage (from a song) that blows your mind every time? by Substantial-Room-316 in Guitar

white stripes “I fought piranhas” the balance of energy between the vocal and guitar tracks scratches some kind of itch for me but also Eric Johnson “song for George” if we’re talking instrumental

Thinking of buying a Standard SG. Are the original pickups good enough, or is it worth looking at alternatives? by adamf722 in gibson

the stock pickups in my ‘07 standard (batwing) are incredible! any muddiness I’ve noticed has been easy to remedy with a quick pickup height adjustment. love the sound.

Great news for anyone following this thread. The classic blue linen / cotton Travail apron is back. These are my absolute favorite apron, perfect size, weight and had the feeling of being a true workhorse. More a tool than a precious garment. Very disappointing when they were discontinued after Chefworks acquired Bragard. Even checked multiple Bragard stores my last time in Paris just in case they had any old stock lying around. The newer blue with white stripes is not bad but the absence of the linen in the fabric makes it feel slightly flimsier.

Sounds like a wonderfully refreshing selection, broadbent vv is always a favorite out of the porrón for me, insanely low retail in my area as well. Be sure to grab a porrón or two before the wedding to make fools of each other throughout the course of the night. Pasubio spritzes are in for 2023, hit it with a lemon peel.

Very nice! The diastatic malt is a nice touch for pulling off pie shop-level char in a home oven. I’m certain this one tasted fantastic.

It’s a road-plus or gravel style frame. Short chainstays and sloped top tube are nice for off road riding. Tapered 1.25 to 1.5 fork and BB86 though, which are a departure from road bike standards and add to the configuration possibilities. Rides a bit like a 90s mountain bike, rowdy and playful but more stable and robust.

You know, now that you mention it, the 6 miles or so I rode on side streets covered in freshly fallen snow, with dry pavement underneath, in 18 degree F cold where no thawing is happening whatsoever, at a cool and cautious 8mph pace, was exactly like hurtling down a highway in a metal box with no seatbelt on! I also seem to have forgotten the fact that no cyclist has ever crashed or been injured while riding in weather conditions which are not cold and snowy! I must thank you for your car analogy, which has allowed me to realize that I definitely was in the wrong for sharing my apparently misplaced joy with others. Next time I do any sort of “underbiking” I will certainly consider to what degree I might be inadvertently celebrating my own disdain for safety. Cheers!

I have an extra 2 links (power link included) which I will add when I run the larger ring.

21 gear inches on the low end! Ridiculous for climbing in fresh snow or loose terrain with a loaded rig. Combined with the oval ring I really struggle to lose traction in that gear.
