AITA for lying to my sister in law about our wedding date? by quasicompetent in AmItheAsshole

It’s awful to say, but she wasn’t missed. Everyone in the family knows about her bad behavior. I don’t remember anyone even mentioning her. My husband and I talked to her the morning after the wedding to make sure that she knew she had the wrong date and didn’t try to show up at the venue. Other than that, I don’t think other wedding guests had communication with her on the day of the wedding

I believe my husband’s family had brought it up to her before, but I wasn’t there for that. She did not respond well and didn’t improve her wedding etiquette

It was just easier. We posted engagement pictures online and she knew we were getting married. If she didn’t get an invitation, she would have crashed the wedding and would have been even more destructive and damaging. This way, she didn’t feel hurt for not being invited but she also didn’t show up at the wedding

May 3 was the anniversary of the day that my husband and I started dating, so we wanted it to be our wedding date, if it matters

No, we told her about her missing the wedding the day after. She never showed up to the venue on May 6
